Description

The war persisted for 20 more years only to end in flames when the Nazis launched nuclear missiles on most of Europe. In the aftermath, the heart of Europe remains shrouded in the mystery of complete destruction and deadly radiation, inaccessible to the rest of the world.

You play as Szymon, a 12-year-old boy who’s just discovered a massive Nazi bunker while wandering the barren, nuclear wasteland of Poland after his mother’s death. He’s searching for an unknown man from a photograph his mother cherished. Who is he? Will you be able to find him?

Descend into the retro futuristic bunker where advanced, industrial technology is intertwined with mysterious, Slavic pagan imagery and explore the underground city hidden within. Uncover the story of the bunker, from its takeover by Polish rebels to the ultimate fate of its inhabitants. What happened to them?

Despite the desolation of the bunker, a mysterious girl named Ewa contacts Szymon through the bunker’s technology. If he can only find her, she might know the man in the picture. If he can find her, he finally won’t be alone…

nice atmospheric walking simulator

Normally I strongly dislike walking simulators that all look like the same lazy clones of each other, however this one I actually liked. It was a pretty interesting world to explore, comfy spooky somewhat, from (to me) the interesting perspective of being a Pole after the Nazis won WWII and then ended the world in a nuclear exchange. No real gameplay, if any puzzles exist they're too simple to be called puzzles, you basically walk around and explore. Also surprisingly performance intensive, don't get it if you're on an older system trying to do 1080p and above, due to its nature lower graphical settings I wouldn't recommend. Only loses a single star for being a walking simulator.

Rather Boring

Nothing really to do but walk about reading the odd message. Graphics okay but not really a game.

intriguing walk sim

I know because I have seen partially what the Nazis were capable of building - Jonastal for example. Countless underground Train Tunnels miles and miles long all walled off. Nearly everywhere. Where I was playing as kid in the fields, we were told to stay off limits because there is a bunker underneith until today never opened because only a few know about it. The game is trying to catch some intriguing - possibly very realistic - Nazi craftsmanship if you may call it that way. Though a rather short experience, it draws you in the sinister world of the Nazis they called future. Whoah... Replayability is rather shallow unless for making a few screenshots from the sites. If you find a place like that, I wouldn't be surprised if there is still lights working. I just recall what the Soviets said about Jonastal when going home after the cold war was over. „You will be surprised from where the electricity is coming from"... What ever is down there neither the Americans nor the Soviets managed to dig it up. The Americans blew holes in everywhere out of rage and the soviets studiet the remainder. The game has got both an URBEX and story style character. Personally, I would see a follow up and a real URBEX game with all the blows and whistles going a shaft down not knowing what will hit you. Great job so far. I would say, yes worth to get it on sale.

This is interactive fiction not a game

This is a kind of interactive story and not a game: theres is no gameplay, just a bunch of choices that affect how the story develops. As that I would give it 4 stars, but it should make it clear that it is that on the description, so I'm removing one.

A Great Backstory

After about 3 hours I have not finished, but my curiosity has been piqued and my attention has been gripped. This is a narrative adventure. The purpose is only to deliver to you a story, that you piece together. A well-woven story was created. The backdrop of your surroundings is beautiful, in an artistic way rather than a super-realistic way. The lighting and shadows are well done, and performance was for me where it should be. It ran at a solid 60fps with everything turned up. Would I have appreciated some actual puzzles? Sure, I would, and it being an adventure game I went into it expecting it. But it's in reality a narrative adventure, a story telling tool, and at that it does a good job. If this is your thing I recommend it, as I am enjoying the story and eager to finish in order to find out all that happened.
