Probably The Best of the General Series
I had a CD copy of this back in the day, & I'm stoked to be able to play it again in a post-DOS world. There are a lot of good DOS games that don't transition well into DOS emulators: This is not one of them. If you're an old fart who spent the 70s & 80s playing Avalon Hill box games like Panzer Blitz and Afrika Korps, this one's for you.

Perfection..
It must be one of the greatest WW2 games I ever played, All those units. Commanding Panzer I in 1939, and a Pz5 Panther with the same crew fighting the Russians on the border of Germany with a whole new experience.. Very few flaws in this game..

I absolutely loved all these games and would play the campaigns over, over and over again!! Awesome game for the armchair general that doesn't want to micro-manage!

One of the best games ever
I have played this game off and on since it first came out. It has certainly stood the test of time, especially with some of the mods that are available. There are many additional campaigns and scenarios out there that make the game even more enjoyable.

Great sequel to a great game
Panzer General 2 is a worthy sequel to one of the best war games for the PC. It takes what works about PG 1 and streamlines it for a more user friendly and fast paced game. The scenarios are smaller so your army is more manageable and you can now move and fire in the same turn even if you click on another unit, one of the big problems with PG 1. It also has some different scenarios and multiple campaigns so it's not just a repeat of the first game. Worked great on Windows 8 laptop and Windows 7 Desktop.
