Truly, a wonderful experience.

Hello. As it may me obvious, I got the game in the free offer. And already played it twice, to get what I think is the best ending. Now, Oxenfree is many things. It's a game about mystery. It's a game about the paranormal. It's a game about wonder, choices and consecuences. But most of all, it's a game about characters. You might think that your choices are irrelevant, but they're not. I played the game two times in the span of 24 hours and made two runs almost identical, changing only things that I thought made sense with my meta-knowledge. However, the game became a completely different experience. Not only because of the (cleverly) added stuff on the second run, but because having already spent time with those characters and knowing what would happen, I could understand their struggles better. Also, during the second run, I managed to found all the Anomalies and Addler Letters (Given, once you understand how the hints work, it's far easier). I believe this is what leads you to getting the "good" ending, so I'm fairly certain that i'm going to do a third run, but reseting everything, seeing if i can get it on a first try. What I'm trying to say is, the game has so much replayability it's almost overwhelming. And I think that's amazing. Other amazing thing is the duration. What did it take me, 6 hours? A perfect lenght for a simple sitdown. I did the two runs without moving from my seat and I know That experience is going to repeat. But, the lenght is also something remarkable, as making someone sit for 6 hours straight without even getting on social media to comment stuff is something amazing. Also, a quick mention to the artstyle and the music, that make an amazing, dark yet bearable and beautiful athmosphere. Only problem: It can get glitchy at times. Especially when climbing, for some reason. TL;DR: Oxenfree is a great game. Your choices matter. The characters are cool. The story is amazing. The Artstyle and Music are something else. Play it.

Loved the story.

This game has a fantastic story. The art style is very beautiful as well. This game really cultivates a thoughtful, artistic, and eerily frightening atmosphere. The only things I would change are related to the dialogue. I wish you had more time to choose what to say, first of all. Depending on which conversation you were having you sometimes had enough time, but at other points you were rushing to pick something instead of fully listening to what the other character was saying. Which brings me to the second dialogue issue: a good portion of the time (maybe 80%) when you pick something to say you end up interrupting the other character in the middle of their sentence if they were still talking. At times your character (Alex) is a bit more polite and waits for the other character to finish talking before she says whatever option you picked, but this isn't the norm. I would have expected it to be more like TellTale games, where the other character gets to finish their sentence before your character starts to talk. With that said, though, these weren't deal-breakers for me. I just had to try to try to strike a balance between picking a dialogue option before time ran out and letting the other characters finish their lines. The story in this game is so compelling and interesting that these little quirks didn't overly bother me.

Wow just wow

This game made me speachless at so many times, the game is so good. Everthing is perfect for example: The visuals, the music, the map and much more ... The only thing I can really say is that: This is now my favourite game.
