How you deal with these events, your peers, and the ominous creatures you’ve unleashed is up to you.
YOU determine every aspect of Alex's story while exploring Edwards Island, uncovering the base's dark past, and changing the course of your friends' lives.
A mind-bending supernatural adventure full of mystery and terror
An intelligent conversation system that changes the story and your relationships based on every decision
A unique radio mechanic that allows Alex to communicate with mysterious spectres and manipulate her world
Oxenfree was amazing in almost every aspect. The soundtrack, the visuals, the story, the charachters, the universe, all fantastic. There's only a few things I can say I didn't really like. The controls are kind of finnicky and too weighty, and the dialogue gets cut off or messed with based on stuff you do while it's being spoken. Those things are just small nitpicks though, and totally don't harm the game in any real way. Absolutely worth it's full asking price.
good game very like it the story everything give you a feeling that feeling is good sometimes bad cry fear mad everything perfect one negative one word:performance oh no its bad but the game is perfect soo deserved 5 stars 10/10 thanks developer future can be the game more fps? just a bit more tiny bit thanks good game again
The game play was really nice, I loved the dialogs and that your choices actually matter at the end. The only "bad" thing was that I did not understood what actually happened at the end. Nonetheless it was a great game, with weird yet great story. There were one glitch like when you turned, my character did not understood where I wanted to go sometimes. Looking forward to your next game (use tricks with time, like this one! :-) ).
I've got 162 games in my catalogue, with "nothing to play"
This game came free in a sale where you spent so much and got a free game. I've been looking something to dive into.
The story, the characters, and the art style are all captivating. I'm a few hours in and I love it. I'll definitely be playing more. Seems like a really unique game, and I don't usually go anywhere near indie games.
This game was incredible. I had heard good things about the game, and was drawn in by the art. The art instantly surpassed my expectations, but what really surprised me was how clever and solid the writing was!
As for game mechanics, this is really a light puzzle game. There's not really even much of a puzzle, so it's maybe even closer to an interactive story. In this case, though, the game really does change drastically based on your dialog choices. I have only played through the game once to completion, and have played around with the beginning of the game a few times just to see what different choices will yield, but I have also seen videos where drastically different things are happening to what I experienced myself. So while this is about an eight hour game, it seems you could replay many times with very different experiences.
I really have nothing negative to say about this one. I'm recommending it to all my friends and am still thinking about how much I enjoyed the experience.
Small side note: I am a wimp when it comes to scary things, and definitely jumped many times. I am a 32 year old man.
