I wasn't expecting that much from this title but it is surprising how in deph the survival mechanics are. Combat is a bit clunky, but it's not that bad considering that you should avoid it if you have nothing to gain.
Imagine World of Warcraft day 1...Lots of fun killing bats and bugs and jazz. Pretty much fun, right?
How LONG would you continue to do this if before you reach level 2, you died, perma-death, and needed to make a new character? That's this game. Pretty much fun, right?
How long would you continue to play a game that is irrational in it's environmental conditions? Wintertime, having a fire doesn't matter. As soon as you "get cold" you get a debilitating disease. (Not ALWAYS...but even ONCE is too much.) Pretty much fun, right?
How about you're level 1, have the best armor and weapons in your town, and are attacked by a random chicken...and get KILLED by a random chicken. Pretty much fun, right?
Granted, I only have 15 hours in game....but after 15 hours in ANY game...you should have SOME sense of "possibility"...all I can see is a grey future of grinding level one characters against insanely difficult creatures for scant/minimal rewards. Pretty much fun, right?
Save your 5 bucks...this game came out in 2015? Really? I'd say 1988 (or earlier?!) Based on the developers MISunderstanding of why people PLAY games.
I may add more later....back to my "gray grinding"
1) Motion Blur cranked up to 11
2) Mouse smoothing
3) Character outrunning the camera to the sides
4) Character movement is delayed becouse it needs to turn first
All of this caused me motion sickness within a minute and I had to leave my desk.
Whoever okay'ed this is either an idiot who never played a game in their lives or a malicious villain.
played this game on ps4 and enjoyed it so much, but the console port is absolutely terrible. when i seen it available on gog i thought id have to be stupid not to give it a shot.
