Minimum Requirements ≠ Playable
I bought this for my wife whose computer has an Athlon 340 + nVidia GT 730, which is a bit above the minimum requirements for the game. The result is that no matter the resolution, she only gets 10 FPS, which is literally unplayable. If you don't have a gaming PC, make sure you can run this before you buy.

Saving and lack of Quick Save
I've only spent about an hour on this game and the save feature is extremely disappointing. You have to use an energy cell thing that you gather in the game (or get when you kill enemies?) to create these save points. Forget to create one? Well, you lose 15+ minutes of game play and have to re-watch the cinematic/redo the area, etc. Saving is janitorial work, it's not a "fun game mechanic". Either place checkpoints strategically or just quick save every 5-10 minutes. I may update this in the future if I play the game again, but for now it's going in my "won't touch this for a while" bin.

Great atmosphere but unnecessarily hard
The only thing I will remember after finishing this game is how unnecessarily hard it was. The difficulty spikes were ruining the game for me, where I had to repeat a certain section over and over again just to make progress. Because of that, the ending is just "meh". Soundtrack is amazing, that's without a doubt. As well as visuals - it's a great looking game, beautiful even. It took my only 8 hours to finish the game, which is way to short for the amount of money I paid, even on sale. I was hyped for the first 2 hours - the world, the story - it all felt great. But the difficulty spikes, as mentioned in many other reviews, ruin the gameplay and overall experience. Hence the harsh 2 stars. Sadly, I can't recommend this game.

Beautiful, but vile
I instantly fell in love with this game when I saw the frst screenshots. I despised it the second I started playing it. The game is even more beautiful in motion. It' truly gorgeous to watch, and the music is very, very nice. Everything seems to be great, until you realize how mean-spirited it really is. Where other games gently nudge you towards trying gain ('see, you didn't take this and that into account, and you also need to watch this thingy in that corner there; now try again, I know you'll make it'), Ori and the Blind Forest just keeps on laughing at you for failing. It laughs in your face again and again. Which is especially 'funny' with sudden death situations and whatnot. Sure, you will get over that, but it feels like a chore, like work, not like the fun that was promised. It's not that I found the game to be overly difficult, it was just so annoying to play. Or to be precise,I felt it was discouraging instead of motivating. So a couple of hours later I put it away for something fun.
