Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator

Launched it after hard day at work, and it did wonders. Should be perfect for short rounds during some drunkem friend meeting. What amazes me though, is that the sentence "Your mother secretly adores your father and you were born of your mother" is a legit insult, a strong one depending on who you play against, while "your father was murdered by your sense of fashion, you insolent whey-face" is not, because apparently the part "your father | was murdered" is not gramatically correct. Learn to grammar, I guess. Plus, without this game, I wouldn't ever suspect how foul my computer is. I might have lost the duel, but it's you who will get the infamous "format c:", heed my words :)

Not the best, but not the worst either. Expected a touch of cursing, but wasn't any. No matter. At least it wasn't a waste of time and money, as it had its little amusements. Cheerio!

This game has worse hair than your mother and your beloved auntie is some bloody minger and dances like a lumberjack, and it's scientifically proven!

Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator could’ve been an excellent game, if it weren’t for the fact it contains so little. The litany of insults is sparse. There’s a lack of characters, one of which is locked behind online multiplayer mode, which is emptier than the head of the CPU. The scoring is wonky: supposed “weaknesses” can do less damage than normal insults, and character specific insults almost add no damage (though they’re supposed to be more powerful than normal insults). It’s odd to see the potential greatness of a game just not manifest. It wasn’t meant to be a serious contender in the online multiplayer market, but more attention from its creators and the game could’ve seen a nice little following happen.

If you are two sheets into the wind, hook up your Steamdeck to the telly and play local versus. Best way to describe it is a card game without cards but phrases. It is fully voiced. It is unashamedly Monty Python. Play an hour at a time. Have a beer. Have some snacks. Tell your mates that some dogs secretly adore them. I got it for 0.79€. And I feel like I robbed somebody and their mother looks like their maths teacher, and I HAVE PROOF!
