A gem from the past
Nox was one of the first RPG I ever played (actually, first one I played was Dink Smallwood :P). I had not heard of Diablo at that point (Yeah, I was living under a rock. Though I have played Diablo II later and I can say that though there are a few things in common between the games, Nox really does manage to carry its own wait.). Any ways about the game : it still looks pretty wonderful if you ask me. It looks much better than Diablo II on my computer. However, do not expect the modern graphics of PoE or Grim Dawn here. Nice leveling system. Three character classses with slightly different story lines and completely different play styles offer some replayability. Do not expect anything extraordinary from the story. There is a durability system in the game where if you bash your weapon too much or if you are hit too much, your weapon or armour will degrade. This will force you to repair the weapon or switch to another one. I found this interesting. But it may not be for everyone. Also, this is not much of a problem several levels down the line when you can get weapons very easily. The soundtrack and the SFX are ok. Nothing wonderful there. But it does the job. I think that's it for my review. TL;DR : If you like Diablo-esque games and are not afraid to see something a bit different yet same, definitely give it a go. I dare say that this game has aged better than Diablo II. PS : I had some issue running this game on Windows 10. I had to run this program called 'NoxSolution' (don't remember where I got it; you should get it with a simple search online) to get it working. I originally bought it on Origin but could not get their version working - even with Nox Solution.
