90s nostaglia
I played this back in the 90s not long after it came out - I never did finish it, and then mostly forgot about it for years - except every now and then I'd remember this weird first person adventure game I'd played years ago that was unlike anything else I'd played at the time. The game is pretty heavily dated, with janky controls and some very weird puzzle solutions (heavily recommend universal hint system when stuck for this game), I really enjoyed revisiting the game and the heavy mid-90s nostalgia. Recommend giving it a chance if that's what you're after.

More to Normality then meets the eye.
No, I’m not going to dig deep into the never-ending rabbit hole of sociology, because the game also doesn’t do that, but Normality doesn’t hide its critic about society in the 90s. A city where police authority is a metaphor for norm. Those imposed by society, shared standards of acceptable behavior by groups and deemed to be powerful drivers of human behavior. The metaphor of watching TV 24 hours a day, for miss information and control of opinions turning people into non-thinking human beings. The oligarchy in Neutropolis, where power is held by a small group which see the dumb population as path to maintain this way of life. Again, not that Normality reaches deep into these issues, but they are present and dealing with them in a humorous way is probably the best way. Funny to see, after all these years, how a critic to 90s society, blinded by misinformation, capitalism and possession, lazy to look at the real problems in the world, is so up-to-date… this within an enjoyable first person, 3D, adventure game. Funny and great adventure game.
Good old gremlin. Normality is one of those games that you have to play. Good humor that even teases its self, wacky characters and a good plot to uncover. And the 3D actually works, you won't have trouble playing the game of finding clues for the puzzles.
