No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Exactly what we all feared.

This game is basically a very simplified version of Starbound mixed with Elite Dangerous, emphasize on VERY simplified. Please note that this opinion was made after a 2h playtime in a VERY laggy and almost unplayable game. From what I've seen, both in my game and from streams and reviews, all the planets are mechanically the same. Color is their only true difference. All of the vegetation and animals are useless, they all yield the same material (carbon, and carbon only) every, single, time. Their general shape might change but they are really exactly the same and of no use and effect. Every single planet seem inhabited by outposts, that are always the same, in which you find always the same three types of material, isotopes, oxides and neutral elements, that you find in the exact same containers everytime. Your inventory is also very limited so a game session is usually 15 minutes of gathering to fill up your space, 5 minutes of travel to the nearest spacestation, then you sell almost everything, leave and repeat. Once you got enough materials, you upgrage your ship and leave to the next star system, in which you'll do the exact same thing all over again. The procedurally generated world adds nothing in my opinion, the changes are exclusively visual since every planet is the same earthlike rocky planet with lakes and grass of various colors, that don't affect gameplay in any way. There is also zero variety in buildings and outposts. I hoped that I would be wrong but this game is exactly what we all knew it would be. A poor game under a pretty mask.

20$ Indie Game sold for 60$

Alright the hype for this game was really big. BIG really BIG. But at the end a small game studio is not able to make the perfect game we all waited for. And that is fine. BUT then dear devs don't tell us how awesome your game is and don't tell us that this is an A+++ title, because it' not. It's just a small Indie Game. The world is maybe big, but after some hours everything is the same. The game is getting very fast boring. The poor performance is also an annoying thing, also the many many bugs. However, it is a shame that they are selling this game for 50-60$. It is worth 20$ and not more. These guys are trickster, it is also a big shame that GOG is ignoring these facts.

MUCH Much Improved

When this game first launched it was judged rather harshly because of all the hype that had been built up over the game. It had reached a point where the developers could not possibly have met expectations. Remember the development team was VERY small for a game of this magnitude. It was around 15 people total. However, despite the negative press it was a pretty neat game if you forgot about the hype and accepted it for what it was. It is unique in many respects and I enjoyed playing it. Since then, the development team has been working VERY hard to improve the game and add in features that were not possible at launch. There have been a steady stream of updates, improvements and features added. They have added a TON of things to the game. To the point where it feels like a completely different game. There are so many indie games that are abandoned by their developers and you have to give them props for sticking with it despite all the negative reviews. They put in the time and dedication necessary and now the game in it's current state is MUCH closer to the game people expected. Every complaint has been addressed, performance has been greatly improved and frankly if you don't give this game a second chance then it's you who are losing out. You could literaly play this game for hundreds of hours and BARELY scratch the surface of what's possible. IMHO The only other games that ever offered this much content are the Fallout games (3, NV & 4) which puts this game in very good company.

Might not be what you expect: repetitive

The game has potential and still shortcomings in 2023: 1. You need to Google a lot as the game doesn't explain it. Especially with refining recipes. 2. It's very light on story. You need hours to understand there is a story. 3. Starting out you have no clue what the main storyline is. Due to the free updates, there are multiple. 4. It's repetitive and might get boring: Scanning: You will scan the same plant, rock, or animal over and over again as they are all the same. Mining: Grinding certain elements takes time (e.g. platin). Planet exploration: placing the signal amplifier & flying to the next waypoint & repeating this process Planets: There are just a few styles. They all lock and feel the same. NPC interactions: There are a few "styles"/dialogs but again they are all the same. Puzzle: Encountered 3 different puzzles. Again very repetitive. 5. It's a controller optimized. Keyboard controls feel like an afterthought as every UI element screams console. 6. Default graphic setting is max. motion blur!
