No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

What was the start if it is "good" now?

Overpriced, overrated, zero depth game. As a huge space games enjoyer I was literally convinced by the recent comments and youtube reviews that this game worth a try. Don't make the same mistake. It isn't and will never be just because the core mechanics will remain the same for ever what I can clearly see in reviews from 2016. And the devs are too lazy to rework it and just try to throw in some identically poorly designed ideas as DLC's instead and sell them as improvement. The only reason I can think of you should buy this game is to try to build some fancy space-tech base. Or just to casually kill some time. Every other aspect is like 50% complete. The game always stops progressing at the moment when you start to think that it might be an interesting mechanic with deep aspects. How can you say it is an exploration game if there is no adequate map? The precedural generation of the planets is so restricted and the assets used are so ugly that I constantly get the Mako from mass effect 1 flashbacks when exploring. Everything is made of the different parts, but generally looks the same: empty and boring. There is no ladscapes you could enjoy. There is no cities or even small villages that give you an illusion of being alive. Every space station is 100% identical two-room-and-a hangar-asset inside. On the planets there is about 10 identical sets of buildings that spawn at random spots. The NPC routines are like from 2000 or just do not exist at all. The game desperately tries to show you that it is not empty by spawning the armades in a middle of space-nowhere or sending a pirate attack to kill you when you open the crates in some god forgotten desert. The economy essentially does not exist and you can make money literally out of the air. The storyline is basically a set of "go to the marker and read what an NPC says" iterations to excuse some grind and introduce the new features. The combat is simple and easy. The space ships are clunky. And yeah, there ARE bugs

Bumpy Beginning to Diamond in the Rough

It had a bumpy tedious beginning when it was first released. I preordered it in 2016 and it was full of bugs and wasnt optimized and didnt have multiplayer. a few updates later they made multiplayer possible. 10 years later It was a sleeper hit Indie game that allows to do anything you want. Hunt, Mine, prospect, dig, pirate, trade, etc with your friends. This is a gem to behold. but there are still some quirks in the game like being out of sync when in multiplayer and other things. Now they allowed mods to be more simplified and I am a person that loves to play games with mods because it enhances the game even more. Buggy mess at the beginning, now a gem with an active developer team that squashes those pesky bugs in updates.

Used to be empty no its loaded

Bought it in 2016 it was garbage needed more time to develop , now it's been a crap load of years and its been in development the whole time. Game has the most content of any space game I have played. You can play for hours and not even touch a story mission because of how much other stuff there is to do. Highly recommend it nowadays.

This game....

This is one of the best sandbox games I've ever played. Highly accessible, with tons of systems to either use, or not use, at your discretion. The systems are not very deep, but there are so many of them, taht you can keep yourself busy for quite a while. This is also the de facto example given by developers for releasing their games in a broken state, because if Hello Games could redeem themselves, why can't we? Unfortunately, very few publisher/dev houses can and will perform the redemption arc that Hello Games did with NMS. Even as someone who typically doesn't enjoy space games much, I love this game. It gets better over time, too, for me, though obviously you might get bored. Functionality is the same as the Steam version, but be aware for best use you will want to use the optional Galaxy client, so that way you have multiplayer enabled and other players are in your galaxy. I know, you might not like MP games, you might not like being connected to the internet.... It IS optional for NMS, but you will want it turned on. The NMS community, for the very most part, is wholesome and welcoming, and you will be afk in a space port and someone will randomly gift you a super rare item, without any expectation of even acknowledgement. Seriously, I don't review many games these days. This game is worth it. These devs haven't charged for a single update or "DLC".

Amazing game

After more than 1400 hours in, I now mostly just play expeditions. Great game, it is always a pleasure to return to it to enjy the colours, the vastness of the universe. Hello Games continuously adds new content and keeps making the game even better. With the new trading system introduced in 2024 some items became perhaps too easy to obtain, but that is OK, I am not complaining about it.
