No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Amazing and splendid chill game.

I started playing No Man' Sky on Jan 1st, 2019, and I now have over 1400 hours in this game. I have no intention of ever not playing this game. I started playing video games back in the 1970's on my Commodore Pet, and I must say that after all the games I have enjoyed, this is my favorite of all time. The universe contains over 18 Quintillion planets divided into 255 galaxies. These planets are proceduraly generated, and that means that even the developers don't know what all is out there. nd even after 4 years 99% of the universe has yet to be discovered! The game is a 4-pillar game: Survival, Exploration, Combat, Trade. You are mostly free to choose for yourself how you will play. The open-ended nature of this game relies largely on you charting your own course through the heavens. But what good would it be for someone else to do that for you? It would always be disappointing. The game is far more interesting because it relies on you to make your own adventures. Play solo or with friends. Build large bases or tiny shacks. Command a fleet of frigates or let it be just you. Or do all of that. This is a long-term game that rewards long-term thinking, tenacity, and a bit of patience. That being said, there are about 30 hours of story in the beginning. Completing the various storylines will give you lots of blueprints and upgrades, as well as teach you how the controls and inventory/discovery management works. As I like to say, your game of No Man's Sky doesn't really start until after 30 hours. Despite the botched launch in 2016, Hello Games has stuck by their product and continues to add more and more great stuff, for free, to this game. They have become a model for other game companies to look to. In my eyes they have redeemed themselves for whatever problems they have caused. Anybody wanting to bash Hello Games at this late date just wants to hold a grudge. Enjoy, and see you in the stars!

Huge improvment, but still a mess

GOG edition requires galaxy for some unknown reason, to do anything related to multiplayer, which is required for half the items in the game. There are events with unique rewards that are time specific and have long since ended. Most of the things you do in the game are "time gated" like a mobile game. And worst yet, is the bugs, which include getting locked in loading screens, being given impossible tasks that will permanently disable your save (like being told to go to another system to get something for your hyperdrive, which is needed to go to other systems), etc. The game has come a long, long way, but it's just full of problems. Don't get me wrong, the game can be fun and often is, but this is more appropriately a steam game and GOG users are not the target audience.

Okay game if you buy it on Sale

After the disastrous launch of this game they managed to bring it back to a somewhat okay state if, and only if, you buy the game on sale. The game is very shallow and repetitive and after a short while you will find yourself doing the same things over and over for little to no reward. Hello Games has released several updates since I purchased this game, but none of them add any depth to the gameplay which is what this game sorely needs.

Another 'WIN' from GOG!

No Man's Sky I purchased in it's most recent version runs fine, on a bit less than recommended graphics, mostly on 'enhanced' settings. Preference also varies widely in simulations, but I really enjoy this game! The menus are also a bit clumsy, not in finding them but using with a gamepad. A mouse is better there; but for vehicles and flight I need my gamepad. Though there are also many mods over the years, few are compatible after updates; the vanilla version I am therefore playing, some of the more basic mod fixes seem to have been incorporated into this latest 4.23 GOG version. The community are also the most enthusicastic and friendly I've seen since 'Star Wars X-Wing' series long ago; they are also a very large number, and so there is much helpful information available for the game. There is also no other title that allows for so much planet hopping and flight all in one game. Again, I have had no issues, but to make usual adjustments for my specific machine, that again is a bit lower than recommended, running on my Nvidia 730 presently: I highly recommend No Man's Sky as a simulation and complex space management game even at the full price I paid for it.

Good game, GOG limits it

The game itself is great however the experience is reduced a bit on GOG.I suggest buying this game on Steam instead. You cannot get Twitch drops on GOG and the updates are sometimes a bit delayed compared to Steam.
