Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Offline installer defect
Downloaded the game 6 times and always file 3 is corrupt. (previous version worked) The game has nice graphics and the story seems mysterious. Thousands of planets to exxplore, but they look like another (about 5 Types of plantes). Gameplay is repetetive and grinding. Would give previous version 3 Stars (even if the game is to expensive) but as the current offline installer is unusable 0 Stars. (I assume it works with galaxy, but i dont use it).

Utterly atrocious performance
It doesn't matter whether you're running a modern high end GPU with a high end CPU, or a laptop half a decade old with a middling GPU and CPU at the time. Both are as likely as the other to achieve equally poor framerates on equally poor resolution with equivalent playability. My laptop legitimately runs it better than my SSD desktop because for some reason the game doesn't play nicely on SSDs but on my old, crappier 5400 RPM 1tb HDD. The SSD causes massive and unplayable stutter that seems entirely a lottery draw on whether or not your configuration works with this game. For a game that has "redeemed" itself, the core gameplay of exploration is no different from launch, with only static "building" components of the game tacked on. On top of the utterly atrocious performance, this is unacceptable for a game five years post release.

Unfortunately it's still raw &bugged
I have played it for 14 hours, hurting myself in the process and I can't recommend it, sorry. The good things: - The story makes sense - Everything is recyclable into useful resources - Everything is craftable The bad things: - Everything takes too much time - Crafting makes little sense - I built a WOODEN shelter on a radioactive planet and was okay? WUT? - If you go blind and select Permadeath, you're gonna die. I mean, I guess it's like real world, but the planet you land on is totally random, so if you land LIKE ME, on a TOXIC RADIOACTIVE PLANET WITH PREDATORY FAUNA However, the worst is yet to come: Gamebreaking flaws follow: 1 - Not everything is recyclable into useful resources - let me explain here - if you are a game developer and you make world objects in a game where you can mine and convert the landscape YOU BETTER F_____G MAKE THOSE WORLD OBJECTS DESTRUCTIBLE AND RECYCLABLE AS WELL - this, by the way is an unforgivable flaw in the light of the insane mechanic of attribution/connection with nanites 2 - all objects like factories, ruins, outposts, crashed freighters are impermanent and leave no trace of their existence (go ahead, leave a navigation marker or even a save point there). It would have been okay if those objects were destructible, like I mentioned before, in a game with a supposedly "persistent world" it's just playing peekaboo with an adult player, which is insane and insulting to the intelligence 3 - non-permanent usable item duplication - by that I mean, the crashed ship I have found in the second part of the (20 or so HOURS-LONG) tutorial, which is connected, duplicated, and in addition to having repaired the original second ship, I was now offered, nay, required to repair the third "crashed ship" all over again, which had me pixel hunting over the hull to find how to enter my original, repaired crashed ship. 4 - cannot sell the ship for scrap, because can't unequip technology because "wrong type of slot". I know game, I know 1.5/5

Cannot play with those on steam
I have no experience playing no man's sky; I bought it during the recent sale so that I could play with my friends. They happen to own this game through steam. There is currently no way for us to play multiplayer together, so I asked for a refund. This needs to get fixed; it's ridiculous that you can't pick your friend's server, especially for an open-ended game like this where there playing with people you know is a significant part of the draw to multiplayer. I'll be leaving a similar review on steam...for what it's worth.
