Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Needs to be optimized better

The game as it stands is not a bad game. The planets appear large and different and while some are going to look similar you can only ask for so much when aspects of the game are generated randomly and only have so many resources to pull from so that is in the eye of the beholder who needs something new all the time or can appreciate the uniqueness of what is there similar to minecraft. There is a large focus on crafting, building and gathering resources and while every thing appears to look great but even with the lowest settings the game chugs very roughly and things do pop in as many other reviews have said and it appears some can not even get the game to launch or it randomly freezes. I never ran into these problems but the game is near unplayable from crawl of the pace as articles struggle to manifest into the world. I think when the game is patched a little more you will enjoy the world and what it has to offer. If the description of the game got you wanting to play it then you wont miss any thing when you do but be warned that you have to have a top of the line computer to play it in its current state. Give it a week or two and see if things clear up before paying the hefty price.

great concept. launch was poor.

title says it all... The ideas and concept sound spectacular! The graphics seem nice at times but the launch so far has had a very poor start. My PC is way over spec'd and struggles. Seems coding needs updating to handle the variety of pc configs. Support fot GOG is atrocius but I know devs for the game have been working day and night to get it fixed asap. *Will update whenever this gets fixed 100% *GOG giving a hard time to make a simple refund (first and last time I purchase from here)

Good game, with a Morrowind vibe...

A sandbox game for explorers who want to meet strange new things, again and again and again. Ever flown in a space game, then headed to any planet you see to try and land on it, gotten closer and closer, then got stopped by an invisible force field or the screen goes into load mode to load up the planet? And even when it does you don`t really see much of it? I have waited years for a game that realistically takes me from space into the stratosphere of a planet, shake from the trembling ship as it hits the heat of entering the upper atmosphere at speed. Then the turbulence kicking in at the lower atmosphere and WHOOSH! Suddenly the planet is coming at you at speed and you have to pull up in fear of hitting the Earth- or rather, whatever planet that may be. No other game has managed this until No Man`s Sky. I love diving to a planet, or even diving back on re-entry, it`s a rush. This is a space and exploration sandbox game. You start off on a unique planet (yep completely unique to you) by a busted ship and have to explore to find minerals to repair your ship. You have a multi-tool that allows you to mine various resources. This multi-tool also works as a weapon if anything bad happens. At first it`s really strange, as you might expect, since the wildlife is completely weird and alien (and unique). Trees and rocks are strange looking, the geography is all weird, although believable. On my first Planet I had a weird Morrowind vibe as I passed giant twisty mushrooms and even saw a giant rock like boulder floating by itself way up in the air. You`re not sure if the animals will run away of attack you, so you keep your distance as you mine away. Sometimes you`ll get weird drones come and shine a light on you, I always keep away from them. You also have an exo suit that protects you from the harmful effects of the planet such as cold, heat, toxicity and acid rain, etc. On my planet the weather was relatively pleasant, but it got really hot in the day, draining my suits power. I started getting desperate when I was warned of my low power and low protection was waning (and I hadn`t found enough resources)- then it dawned on me to just run back to my ship. I did. The ship will protect you indefinitely while your basic shield power is restored. But you can`t sit in your busted ship forever! It seems difficult at first, but as you figure things out, it gets easier and easier. I didn`t mind the inventory system at all. As long as you have your buttons the way you want it, it works fine (I use Mouse and Keyboard). After an hour of this, I was surprised to spot what looked like an abandoned outpost and met my first alien there whom traded with me. Finally, I had what I needed and took off into space. I saw 4 huge battleships/carriers cruising in the night of space and a space station which I landed on. You can `communicate` with aliens (they just grunt) and buy stuff off them. But there isn`t much life. Checked out my next planet which was a cold planet of -60 C, punishing on my suit. Found an injured alien and helped him for some credits in return. You can upgrade weapons and ships, etc. You can end up in battles, but I`ve only had to shoot a few drones that didn`t seem to like me mining. To be honest, I`ve only scratched the surface of this game, the planets are HUGE. I`ve visted 5 and not seen everywhere on any of them. When I look at the map of space and realise there are thousands more that are uniquely, randomly, created, it dawned on me I can never see them all, just like I could never see all the plents in real space! By the way, don`t expect a game that holds you by the hand with a deep linear story. There`s a small track of a intro-story you can choose to accept, but that`s it. If story is all that matters to you then don`t bother with this. This game is about making your OWN stories and your own AAR you can write in a fictional diary and look back on with a smile. Graphics. I`m not a fan of this style of graphics. It`s almost cartoony and a bit too coloourful. I bought the Gamma down a fair bit to add a little more darker `reality` to it. Also, the textures don`t quite have that level of detail you`d expect in a AAA game today, but perhaps that`s a trade-off for what it manages to do? It looks `ok`, but it should be better than `ok`. In space things look better. Audio: Not a fan of the audio music at all. It`s not terrible, but it just seems to think that because it`s in space it`s gotta sound all `spacey` and `futuristic`. I just mute it and play something orchestral on the PC in the background- Winning! Performance: The game has not crashed once in 6 hours of play. Even when I accidentally Windowed out of the game. There are some stutter spikes and pop-ups though, even with fps set to 60. So it needs some optimisation. What I don`t like: The limited view in the ship. You can only see forward like a blinkered horse. We need a port and starboard view. Also giving us track IR capability would be much appreciated, but at least allow a leftright view. In fact just let us freely look around our cockpit- Helps the feel of exploring. You can`t fly really low to the planet surface, at least not all the time. You can auto-land and auto-take off and cruise a bit real low, but as soon as you come near any thing sticking up the game moves your ship up and above. It seems like the Devs have done this to avoid people crashing their craft. I would like the Devs to include an option to remove this `safety` forcefield. Can`t name myself or ship unless you use GOG Galalxy. I prefer a clean game so I`d like to see the Devs allow us to name ourselves even when Offline. I play offline almost exclusively. I paid a fair bit of money for this and will put a lot fo time into it, so we should have this. More customisation is need, Right now there`s almost none. You can`t even name your ship or change its colour. Again bad for a game like this which one might spend many hours on. Anyway, good game that has managed to do what most games wished they could do. Great that it`s released on GOG too. 4 stars and 5 when my issues are resolved.

Caution: Not Supported on Windows 7/8.1

The game page is misleading a customer! It'll not run well on the minimum GPUs, if at all, because Vulkan is obligatory starting from the 2.04 (The Beyond) update. Starting from the 4.03 (Waypoint) update, a player is met with a gigantic pop up saying that Windows 7/8.1 are abandoned by the developers, no more support, no more patches, nothing more, no care, and it disables multiplayer fully. Who knows what will come next? From all I know, it could not be playable at some point in any degree, betraying the ones who paid for it. Don't take me wrong, I do love the game, I like how much it grew to something nicer, that's why I wrote the review. But, I do not, however, consider abandonment right nor think the misleading description is appropriate from a product standpoint. GOG should provide older versions and edit the description, no excuses. As such, sadly, I'll give 1 star.
