Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.
In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.
Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).
And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.
Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).
An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.
At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Great Indie game
What an amazing game these people have made. It's space minecraft without the building. I've read and heard all the reviews that complain about framerate, PS4 vs PC graphics, crashes, etc. None of that has affected me. Here's my build... MOBO: GA-990FXA-UD3 CPU: AMD FX-8120 (OC'd to 4.1Ghz) RAM: 16GB DDR3 SSD: Samsung 840 240GB GPU: GTX 580 (yeah, still rockin it) Monitor: 1920x1200 Samsung T240 PSU: 1250WATT (Don't ask) Works great, can't complain. 20-30FPS doesn't bother me with such a grand game. Settings are at high with Shadows and Reflections at medium, FOV at 95, everything else is default. Never crashed. Get your refund or enjoy the experience. $66.95 CAD is much less than I spend at a night out drinking (....I drink a bit more than I should) but if it gives me 20 hours of fun, hell, it's worth it. To be completely honest, this is just to tide me over until Star Citizen. Still great

No Man's Game
Yet another majestic flop designed along Molyneux's formula. Let's promise everything, let's spend millions on advertising, and let's deliver a half-product that's not even remotely close to what an alpha should look like. Monies check out, Moshe, so what's the problem? It's the ultimate case of a typical non-game advertised as the Second Coming, quick pre-order now and spend a life time playing this game. Except it's not even a game. Someone confused "nothing at all" with "sandbox". The exactly same experience one will get from browsing deviant-art (with the parent block turned on). You just browse through a colourful set of images and that's it. I don't even start on the laughable performance issues on high-end specs in a game that looks like something released back in 2008.

Good for a niche market.
This is a pretty good game for a niche market, the niche of survival games that have an emphasis on exploring. The game does get repetitive, and I feel like there should be a bit more meat on the bones, but the fact I've thrown 20+ hours in already shows to me that there is a lot of promise. Hopefully hello games makes good on their promises of more content in future updates. I would wait to buy it until that is done, though, unless pure exploration is what you want. (also, yes, this game is a bit of a technical mess) Also, those system requirements are a bit off. 8GB of RAM is the bare minimum. I noticed that NMS was still filling up that 8GB readily, and loading several GB into a page file on my SSD, hammering my storage constantly. Without a page file, with nothing else running, the game will crash quickly and randomly. I'd recommend 16GB minimum for this game. I feel that systems with 8 or even 12GB of RAM are having serious performance problems because their RAM is filling up, and their storage drive is getting hammered constantly with page file, hence why the game has a tendency to hitch when loading new areas.

Buy something else
Waiting a long time to review this game, there have been plenty of patches and most every one added yet more bugs and trouble. The game was nothing like it was advertised and should be avoided unless you are a sadist in need of disappointment. One star is far too generous but it is as low as you can go.
