No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Good Game, but Lacks Something

I'm not going to say this is, by any means, a horrible game. In fact, it's really quite a bit of fun. I have this on console and was excited to hear of a major update and wanted to give the PC version a try since my hardware can take it. The update has been good, from what has been seen. The new details and additions have been fun to discover. However, this game has always missed something, and it was very hard to pinpoint exactly what that thing was until recently: purpose. The planets, while diverse, start repeating in appearance very quickly. Strange, bubbly or tentacle-looking plants here and there, bouncing pineapple aliens or dinosaurs roam about aimlessly. The ruins and crahed ships all look the same the starships you can pilot recycle in appearance and the space station interiors, while somewhat populated, still seem lifeless and dull. Talking to aliens, robots and random technology yields random locations or info, then the conversation ends with either an item, reputation gain or loss but not much more than that. When I figured out what the story was, I felt there was no purpose to play and I hadn't even made much of an effort to even "beat" the game. The mishmash of information the storyline gives you can be frustrating to the point of sometimes just skipping the text just to keep finding things to do. Ships can be piloted, but they don't feel like much more than a tool. Your ship will look nearly identical to many others, and you will probably have the same weapons as the one next to you, only with or without some purchased or created boosts. This ruins the immersion and fun for me. I want to walk around my ship, enjoy the space flight and feel like what I'm doing in the game means something to the rest of the gameverse. It feels like everything you do just doesn't build up to any particular purpose. You're doing what everyone else is, with the same equipment, on the same planet/s, with the same results.

Mixed feelings

I’m not sure about these games. At times I really enjoy this game. I like the resource gathering and survival aspects at times. That is my favorite part of this game. That and the space travel. This game feels very empty. There are other characters in the game, but it still feels empty. I get that part of it is that is by design, but at times I feel like I’m playing castaway in space. I also don’t care for how significant the changes are when they update this game. At times it feels like a different game. In the end I guess I like this game and can’t stop playing it at times. Then I quit and I don’t play it in a long time. This game had a lot more potential but it just feels lacking.

Boring and pointless

Wide as an ocean deep as a puddle is the best way to describe this game. It can show you some beautiful landscapes and views, but more you play and try to make sense of it - more disapointment you achieve. Pointless grinding everywhere. It just forces you to waste time doing boring repetitive actions like searching planets with needed resources and excavating them. Exploration? You just go from one to another result of advanced random number generator and sometimes it can catch you eye for a moment, but later you will understand that it is all the same after all. SPORE with similar aproach is much more interesting than this game. Only 3 races, identical bases, unbalanced economy with ridiculuos prices on ship cargo hull upgrades (to open i cell you must scrap several other ships to get needed units amount). NPCs dont even try to seem alive. Just few boring encounters when you give some resources to them in order to help repair their ships. To learn alien language in order to read poor dialogs you must grind word stones on planets or grind aliens on starbases (every new one gives you 1 word and to read full dialogs you need to do tens and hundreds of encounters). Unscippable boring landing sequence animation you need to watch each time you visit new starbase completing this masterpiece of time wasting. I got this game on sale and I knew it has problems in past but I thought after so many years it became at least worth to check and complete. But this was a mistake.

Problems with AMD cards

Every few seconds I'm getting errors on a RX6700XT that I have too little VRAM. Cool, but it's a 12 GB model. I could not play the game to enjoy it.

Excellent exploration and adventure game

No man's Sky presents a slightly different proposal about the vision of a space game. It's not like a Starfield where the density of the game is focused on the context of the story and dialogues, but NMS focuses on such a vast system to explore and adventure that it can even cause you an existential crisis. Since 2016 I've been playing another space game known as Starbound, which also has a different proposal aimed at the otaku audience but which I can say is the one that most resembles what we have in NMS today. Most of the negative reviews are a big exaggeration about the game, it may even have some minor problems but believe me it will make up for your money.
