Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

New Update Makes Game More Enjoyable

The new Foundation Update added a very large amount of new content that easily adds hours worth of playtime to the game. You now have a real goal to work towards: building a home. You can claim a base site on a planet as your own and build your own base very similar to how Subnautica's building system works. The new Survival mode makes surviving an actually difficult task, since the planet's generation system has been rewritten and the items you need to survive are much harder to find (especially an essential resource, Plutonium). The planet's generation system also improved the look of the planets. There are truly massive mountains and incredible wide open spaces with rolling hills. There's also a large number of new animal categories. Expect a much larger variety of creatures and plants as well. They also added tons of new resources to the game and the ability to purchase a Freighter which can be another base that you can build inside of. In short, this new update makes a tremendous improvement for the game. Beforehand, the game wasn't worth anyone's time, and most certainly wasn't worth the $60 price tag, and while it still hasn't reached that point yet, it is definitely a game worth our time now. I'd say it's worth $25 now, so if it's on sale somewhere, definitely pick it up. Thanks for your time.

Very rough start, But now worth a look.

No Mans Sky has been called No Mans Lie for good reason, the tech demos and features promised never happened and on top of asking for AAA price tag to boot! they received deserved backlash from that, I also hope who ever was responsible for that decision was sacked. Now with that out of the way I will review based on the current state of the game and if its worth buying on sale. Hello games should have opened with this being early access/indie title and priced to match, Its a game essentially about exploration and collecting, in this area it excells. If you have ever played any of the many survival games out there (its like ark without combat) youll know what your getting into. The universe and many worlds look great and its like meditation looking around and scanning all the creatures, Most of my time in game has been spent building my base and farms, gathering the resources to do so. Though you can follow the route to the centre of the galaxy for end game if you choose. A very nice touch is being able to name the planets/animals you find and upload them to the server, Once done if anyone finds your worlds they will see the names you have given. This is where the game has started to come together, admist the hate Hello Games have really pulled their fingers out with updates adding the base building farms and even a bit of story. Combat added and fleshed out a tad (still not really anything to shout about but it adds diversion) as well as many other nice additions. I paid full price at release and currently have 80 hours playtime so I consider my money well spent. It seems Hello Games staff are not all con artists and they want their game to succeed. Really adding some love since release. but only time will tell if the backlash can be fixed from launch. I hope so, as with even more updates this game would be amazing. P.S Hello Games please add vive support :)

Fun sandbox

I've been playing this since 2016. At that time it was probably only fun if you wanted a walking simulator. They added 3 versions, and now "Next". The base building quests and so on are a fun addition, the new freighter quests are also fun. All in all it feels more finished than the 2016 version. I honestly don't care about multiplayer, although I would try it once when it becomes available for the co-op experience.

A Hopefully Controversy Free Review

So, No Man's Sky. This one blew my mind the first time I read a half page blurb about it in a gaming magazine, 3 years ago. I thought it was going to be the game that dragged me into the next (now current) console generation. So naturally, my mind was utterly blown and I was ecstatic when I saw it was going to be releasing on GoG. Did it live up to my expectations? Read on. First and foremost, performance. I was one of the lucky ones. My chipset supported SSE instructions (which the game now supports for all chipsets I believe) and this one played fine straight out of the box. I have a middling "gaming" (-ish) computer, several years old and a GPU to match. At 1080P the performance is about what you'd expect for a new "AAA" style game. Pretty good, and not enough to detract from my enjoyment. If you think you can play the Witcher 3 on a 5 year old system, with a GPU two generations out of date, at 4K - you're going to be disappointed here as well. Ironically it seems that the bleeding edge systems were the ones that had odd performance issues out of the gate, at least based on reviews I read. So did I enjoy the game? Yes, in fact. But that comes with several caveats. The game is really NOT the open world action space sim I thought it would be. It's far more of an exploration, survival and crafting-lite game. To that end, there is indeed space combat as well as some ground based FPS action. It's all serviceable and actually backed up by the ability to craft fun upgrades for both your on foot and in space personas. There's enough there to scratch an RPG type itch and I for one found the "lasering" of resources enjoyable. Is there a bit of repetition? Of course, and boredom can set in. But that's almost inherent in games of this type. The crafting and exploration isn't as deep as something like Don't Starve and the space combat is a bit mundane. But all and all there was enough there for me to actually enjoy the game. Combine that with the ever present quest for the next ship, search for uber-upgrade and discovery on an exciting planet that offers resources and crafting "recipes" you previously were unaware of and the game is compelling if only for a short time. It suffers a bit from its own scope (the universe seed idea is fantastic, but it really serves to accentuate that you're doing the same thing over and over). Again, nearly every game is a victim of this to some extent but here it's magnified over, literally, an entire impossible universe sized expanse. Was it worth it? This one is more difficult to say. For me, yes, but your mileage may vary. I factored into the game the value of my support for GoG landing something like this. The $60 price of admission included my desire to see titles like this launch and become viable DRM free. Without that, you may feel a bit jilted. For me, I was happy to get to play the dream come true. Even if it wasn't exactly as amazing once it made the leap to the real world.
