No Man's Sky: Voyagers update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Procedurally generated boredom

Con: - Performance issues everywhere - Optimized for consoles, almost no adjustment for pc - Repetitive gameplay - Boring planets - Not much to do - Tiny inventory - Sterile worlds - Animal life is rare and looks misplaced - Animals and plants are all different and still look all the same Pro: - It's big?

Repetitive, repetitive, repetitive

Point number 1, it is blandly repetitive. Point 2, how are we expected to explore without so much as a map, marker or flags? You get to so many save points to 'claim' them but to what end? You'd never know how much of a planet you actually managed to claim because there is no way to tell. Point 3, all ships behave the same IF you can control them properly. Bug in the release version pushes your ship from the surface straight into space when you launch. Ship prices are whacked, hundreds of thousands for the first 2-3 types then boom, 15 million for the next rung on the ladder. Point 4, so 500 of Platinum, Gold, Emeril and such stacks, but 2 Atlas Chupachups don't? But hey, this is probably the most challenging part of the entire game so credit where credit's due. Point 5 (last one, I promise), you know that feeling when you wake up late on a lazy Sunday, you haven't done your groceries and there's nothing in the kitchen for breakfast? That's about the intensity of the survival aspect of this game. Now there's nothing wrong with that feeling once you're 6 days into the game with a power suit and an alien blaster, but not an hour after you start. I'm playing this game on a jalopy held together by strap cables and cooled by my tears of regret, so I got no comments on performance. That all being said, it's a heck of a canvas to build on. So fingers crossed Sean & Co have plans to release (free) DLCs to fix these issues up.

Not that game

You all know what this game could be, but it went far away from it's amazing exploration angle to average space farming simulator. If gameplay is okay and improving with every major content patch, procedural generation is still 5 years old silly kid, who's creating his first castle from the sand. It cannot create those wonderfull, jawdropping worlds that was shown during E3 and was fully handcrafted.

liked it til foundation update

up til the Foundation update I was able to run No Mans sky on my lap top (granted, with everything set to low, and in a window, but it ram well) since the update, it crashes as soon as I pick the game mode. even trying to just continue my save I had. I have a lenovo g70-35, amd A8 APU with R5 GPU, and 12 GB memory (before you all say I shouldnt be running it, the thing is , I was). only complaint I get is it points out the GPU only has access to 1GB vram, and it wants 1.5. according the the games website, it should still run. up til now I liked the game, it was different. now I cant play it, hoping this is something that will be fixed

Good game overall, yet prepare for bugs

I went into it with little to no expectations: I had heard all the criticism it got at release, yet I gave it a chance just to judge by myself. The game is good in the sense of mechanics are easy to get into: Mine here and there, craft items, complete missions and some few things more. However, even though the mechanics side of things is easy to comprehend, the history and instructions leave a lot to wish: Sometimes you don't know what you're looking for, and if you do, you won't know how to find it. Once you get into the rhythm of the game, it'll get intuitive. However, be prepared to encounter bugs that can completely ruin the history mode. In around 7 hours of game, I've had to restart all my progress twice due to bugs that don't allow me to continue due to it breaking because of user decisions (That you never knew could affect it / never were told they could). It's a game that has a lot of potential, but until then I'd say you can wait until the game is more polished.
