Pixie Stix poured straight in the brain
From start to finish it's a rollercoaster of nonstop kills thrills and fun. An absolute carnage-fest with enough variety in weapons, upgrades, enemies, skill tree games(!) and upgrades that never relents. There's always something to do, buy, discover, or kill. The ending/New Game+ item were entirely satisfying. It's not too short, doesn't linger too long, and the arenas and NG++ options are nice options post-win. Cheers Blazing Bit, here's hoping your future is good.

Exhausting game
This game has good fundations (despite player being forced into same looking room over room over room), but randomness at the later stages of the game is just killing all the fun. I quit after the following happens 4 times in the row at the start of the same level: 1) I spawn. 2) I enter the first room. 3) Red spawning crystals show up. 4) Doors lock behind me. 5) I fight. 6) I run out of the ammo for my starting weapon. 7) I die. 8) Go to point 1. That's just… not fun. It would be better if player would be able to keep every weapon currently equipped in slot, so at least I could carry something using separate type of ammo, but right now this game is unplayable for me.

this is random generated !!!!!!!!!!!
NR is a GOOD game, but nothing more. It is a secondary choice to other retro FPS games. I have been enjoying it very much untill some cracks has started to appear in the gameplay. Here is my list of gripes and grudges: - each level is randomly generated. i admire how exciting they are in spite of this and how long i have been fooled into believing they are NOT random. Fooled indeed because nowhere in the game description you can find that little tidbit. Shouldn't it be written in bold right at the begining developers??? i can not look at the same rooms any more. This is lazy and boring and can NOT beat meticulously crafted levels. - you will be using ONE WEPON ONLY. The most powerful one. And it will be so powerful that using anything else will be a folly. - You can almost always backtrack endlessly out of combat while shooting even the hardest enemies to pieces. Once you realize this simple trick , whole tension of combat dissapears FOREVER. - the maps are small. Even the biggest ones are still very small compared to Quake , Hexen, Doom and offer only 2-4 major fights and encounters per level. More often than not you will be facing single enemies in small rooms. - the achievements list is a ruthless list of spoilers giving you the answers to all possible questions and i regret the very second i gazed upon it. Also it gives you a measure what playing time is expected from you , making it a pure grind rivalring with MMOs. i surely do not see myself playing this game any longer than necessary and surely not as long as to get the highest upper tier of uninspiring achievements (i.e. kill xxx enemies, or sell xxx weapons). - I am very disappointed in music "the great Andrew Hulshult" composed for this game. it is lacking special inspiring spark and is as dull and repetetive as the levels you are playing. Also the range of tracks is laughably small. I would rather have ambient sounds playing without the obnoxious combat guitar track you are hearing for the xxxx time.
