I had expected NWN2 in Gog for a long time. Installing the complete game with all it's expansions and patches was a real pain. Finally all in one version with no DRM. Thanks Gog for adding another masterpiece to our collection.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is a frustrating game to play immediately after experiencing Neverwinter Nights. The keybinds and options are strange, and are difficult to fix. It keeps reverting settings, and you need to remember what it reverts. If there is a problem, chances are that you need to download a mod or executable to fix it. It is a sloppy and technically weak game. However, there are good points about it. The game is recognizably a role-playing game, and it tries to recapture some of the feel of games such as the Baldur's Gate series. I think it does not succeed in this, but it tries.

Unfortunately, no. I can't recommend it when the game's original campaign does not let you (like NWN1 does!) start the "module"s at the Act(s) you've unlocked. I had a showstopping bug that preventing me from continuing Act 2, and restarting the campaign had me run into another progression bug that stopped me from even reaching where I was previously. Apparently, Windows 10 (and 11?) has a permissions issue to where certain files aren't written into the game properly and thus cause these bugs. Maybe installing it on Linux would work, but not being able to complete the campaign is massively disappointing when the little I DID play (Act 1) fixed a lot of NWN1's issues and gave some party members to care about. (...Seems one developer has a curse of being put on Buggy titles. NWN2, Alpha Protocol, The Witcher 3 [which fixed itself, hm...] and Cyberpunk... ANYWAY...) I'm going to put the kill command to use in the attempt to speed back to where you need to go in here, just in case someone needs it. When I try to save the game, I am not able to because the saves are not there (in "load" screen) - I was trying to run the game as admin, I was trying to disable my antivirus - nothing works... I wanted to play NWN 2 very much but without saves it's unplayable...

Game could potentialy be great, but there are to many gamebreaking bugs. Most bugs are only due to the game and some are standart windows bugs. (Visual C++ and dll bugs) most things can be solved with NWscript, but yous spend 80% of the time working to be able to play the game
