A: You do not need a VR headset to play Myst. Myst is playable with or without a VR headset.
Q: I bought Myst when it first came out in 1993. Can I get a free upgrade to this new version?
A: Thank you for your support over the years! We are not giving out free upgrades to previous purchasers of the original Myst. We put a lot of effort into making this new version of Myst and would appreciate your financial support again!
Q: I want to play Myst, but am concerned about my computer not meeting the minimum requirements. What should I do?
A: If your machine does not meet the minimum requirements and you still want to try Myst out, we recommend enabling one of our supersampling options through the graphics settings menu to see if it alleviates performance concerns. Depending on the storefront you purchase Myst from, you may be able to qualify for a refund through the store (not through Cyan support) if Myst does not run well on your platform. Please review each store platform refund policy for details.

Booo, there are already 400 remakes of Myst; when are we getting a remaster of *especially* Riven but even Myst 5 (which was interesting but didn't have an engine up to the task yet)? And really all of them to ensure they work without crashing of modern systems. Myst 4 still looks fantasic but won't boot without temporarily disabling certain drivers.
I also would have bought into a complete reboot. If it had sucked, then oh well I can go back to Real Myst Masterpiece for the original. I don't know that the quality of Myst 1 puzzles really hold up compared to later games so a reworking made to capture the feel of Myst as it was released originally would be enough to pull some money out of my pocket.
I'm giving this 3 stars; It feels wrong to give Myst 1 star but I also don't want to give an uneccesary remaster 4 or 5 either. I don't own this on GOG as it's on xbox pc game pass but I wouldn't have wanted to pay for it anyway. That said, I'm excited to see Cyan's upcoming Firmament and anything else they put out for the rest of eternity.
I played the original MasterEdition yesterday for about 3 hours. It was a fun experience for a adventure/puzzel game. I look forward to purchasing this with the updated graphics!!!
I'd love to get this version and write an in-game review…but I'm not using Windows 10. I received an email from GOG, with a special price for the Myst Complete Collection…but I'm not using Windows 10. I wonder how many other people would love to buy this…but are not using Windows 10. All the other games in this collection run on older version of Windows…but this one Only Runs On WINDOWS 10! Guess I'll have to pass this up…sad really.
