Worked fine until release

Until release My Time At Portia worked just fine, never were there any game crashing bugs. But with release they changed the minimum pc specs and made it impossible to play with older graphics cards. All the support has to say is "just buy a new one, we won't look into the issue until then". I contacted pathea and they didn't even answer. I'm with this game since the Demo, i backed it on Kickstarter, i tested it since then and reported all the few bugs i encountered. And now i'm not able to play the finished game. For Patheas sake do i need a non-limited steam account for a review there. I have no idea if the GOG-version would work, but as they don't seem to fix anything here, i strongly doubt it.

This game is exquisite

It's not a Stardew ripoff, but very much it's own crafting-centered game. With voice-acting and 3D graphics (that's a mixed bag). It's designed for controller, making it a great solo couch game. (no multi-player, that would have been nice) If you like building/creating games, this should be in your pocket. Esp on sale.

Fun game. Ends at just the right time.

TLDR: Is it worth a buy on sale? Yes! Is it worth it full price? Yes, again! This game has a light, but appropriate story. Unfotunatly it doesn't really go very far... you get answers to side quests, but not really the main game. I was a bit disapointed we never got to hunt down the pirates. It is a very involved competitive shop and building game, where you can usually take your time, but other times you have only a set number of days to finish an item. This can lead you to failing a quest if you do not have the shop upgrade needed to make the next item at that time. This is rare; I think I failed one build job outside the very start of the game. The music, exploration, characters are all good, fun and lighthearted. The sidequests and other activities you can do tend to be fun and give a feeling of immersion and progress. The fighting ring is especially noteworthy, as you grow stronger. The game sort of runs out of content at the end. I did not keep playing after the end of the story, despite the fact that you can. I value the stories in the game very highly! It has many interesting story beats. The gameplay such as fighting is just ok; doesn't get in the way, nor is it spectacular. I wish the story continued, either in dlc or a second game, because the ending is rather abrupt. it's not terrible, cliffhanger type stuff some companies try to force in. It's just that there are a LOT of questsons left unanswered. One paticular character is missing and you have no idea what happens to them.

An imperfect but enjoyable game

Just one more day! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this game, particularly because I'm typically not that wild about crafting anything. It may be because it's a more laid-back kind of title. The general gameplay loop is quite pleasant even if it is a bit on the grindy side. Having the factory (for automated crafting) earlier in the game would have been nice. The play/date and tournament mini games are fun diversion albeit quite simple. There's almost always something to do. Some lacking sounds seem a bit puzzling and the patchwork of voice acting is a bit of a letdown, but I ended up turning voices off anyway because what's there isn't all that great. All in all, I had a good time in my 80+ hour run with the game.
