Moto Racer

I love this game.

I owned this on PSX (PSone), and loved it when I had it. Something happened to that copy. I then found a PC version. I played all the way back when, but it has become nearly impossible in recent years. Here it is on GoG, and I couldn't pass up the .59 cent sale price it was on today as of this posting. I found controls a bit wonky at first, but then I realized with an XBox One S or newer controller, just put the game to Joystick mode. You get that sweet sweet analog action. This game isn't fancy. No leveling up your rider, no buying parts for the bike. Just a simple pick up and play game perfect for getting a quick fix on a race or three.

Yepp. Straight to the point 90's racing. For full analog turning with Xbox360 controller, select joystick as the input device and then map functionsto the buttons + joystick. To make the game look sexy use the Nvidia control pannel (or similar) to enable 16X AF & 8X SSAA etc.

For me, awesome racers include: Monster Truck Madness 2, POD Planet of Death, and Moto Racer. The third game, of course, is what I'm talking about here. Moto Racer has awesome arcade style gameplay, and a nice selection of motorcycles. You can either do smooth, high speed racing on the road, or perform stunts and go wild with dirt bike racing. You can unlock more tracks, and features as well. Nothing like getting in your motorbike and racing against a huge cluster of other motorbikes. Only thing I have against the game: You can't customize your bike. Each bike has its own settings, and you can't change them, like you can in POD: Planet of Death. Still a must grab if you have a sweet tooth for racing games. (like I do) Fast paced arcade fun for $6. Get a grip on Moto Racer now, and if you like it, check out Moto Racer 2, because it's got even more tracks and motorbike madness. I personally don't think MR3 is worth it, but you can try it if you want of course. Anyways, try this game today!
