Excelente game, musica incriveis

This is a very fun game, however even at the $20 price point it is alittle on the short side. Playing though on the recomended difficulty the game only took about 8 hours to beat and the final boss was disapointingly easy. That being said the game is fun and the shop keeping aspect was more enjoyable then the actual combat in the game.

Truly a beautiful game, a work of art in the pixel graphics game catagory. I will admit I did encounter a multitude of bugs while playing but nothing I wasnt going to work through to continue playing. There are some ballancing issues, I completed the game on hard difficulty and it still felt very easy, although the game rewards you for upgrading your gear it never really punishes you for taking damage like most other rougelike games would. All that being said, I think this game has some serious potential once a majority of the bugs are fixed, and perhaps even before I can see this being a top seller indie game for a while.

I fell in love for this game before it's realease, but it did came up with a few problems that extinguished my excitement, not because of in game problems, but how it was released on GOG. First off, the first time you try to install, you will always get the messenge "Instalation Failed", which you can fix by going to "Scan and Import folders" to fix it. Even though I managed to start the game, the only things I could see were the logos, before it went to total darkness, never to start the game. I feel really upset and I want a game as nice as this to work. Please fix it and will be pleased to change this review to one this game may be more deserving.

I was a Kickstarter backer, and I wasn't sure I had made a good choice at first, during the beta, but now I'm glad I backed this game. It's incredibly addictive, with that "just one more turn" gameplay mechanic (like Stardew, or Civilization). I'm not horribly far into the game yet, but it seems like there's a good bit of variety, at least for this style of game, and the game does a good job of introducing it over time instead of dumping everything on you at once. Regarding the dungeon-diving part, the game is challenging without being punishing. I've only played a tiny bit of Isaac, but I would say Moonlighter is much less hardcore, though still not a casual game. The controls seem responsive enough for the level of difficulty. And although you are, in a certain way, under a timer when in any particular dungeon, you don't really feel rushed. One last thing, if you're a mouse-and-keyboard type of person, don't try to fight it, just use a controller. I tried to use the keyboard and hated the game. I gave up and used a controller and loved the game. The keyboard interface is really terrible.
