How this works
The story is meant to be unveiled from the perspective of different characters and over the course of all the (yet unreleased) chapters. The dialogs are well written, witty and clever. They contain hidden hints to the characters intentions which will become more and more obvious the more you progress. This is a part of the urge to revisit certain chapters (via "The Maze") after you progressed more and it will make you think "oh, I could have known from here on, why didn't I noticed". It's hard to predict what happens next on your first playthrough, because you need to get familiar with the characters, the lore, the world. As soon as you get an idea how things intertwine and if you watch cutscenes carefully, you can try to influence the outcome by changing some events. At the end you get a summary of who lives, who died (my first try, almost all die) and whose fate is still not decided. Even though there's a feature showing you all the active points to click, there are still some hidden bonus things to click on for your collection, which gives another replay incentive. In the "Extras" section you can see those collected items. There is even fully voiced bonus dialog which sometimes changes, depending e.g. on the colours you chose for a painting (which in turn you can change by revisiting the chapter). Well, it's captivating: I bought it together with some other game which I completely forgot about ;-)
