Might and Magic® 9

This is being said after all the patch updates... you won't find a person that has gone through each game of the series more times than me because I love the series, but I honestly had to stop playing this. I get it they went bankrupt or whatever but my goodness they shouldn't charge for this. The games scaling is garbage, maps are large but with very little content, pretty much everything good from the series they changed. I kept playing hoping maybe one map or something will be cool but no same garbage

Unfortunately this is not playable on current systems. Not even a little bit. Fortunately GoG let me refund it.

This was the last game put out by this company before it went bankrupt. Unless you're a hardcore fan of the series, steer clear. It's buggy, cringy, and has terrible graphics for it's era. That said, it's not completely bad. You can still have some fun with it. Now, mind you, I've tried at least a half dozen times to beat the game, and never been able to without it glitching out and corrupting my quest progress at some point. I wouldn't have tried that many times if it was all bad, but it's still pretty bad. So, again, it's really only worth braving this buggy mess if you really, really want to see the last true Might & Magic game.

With a little help from Google and Copilot I managed to get this game running on a modern PC. It was a little fiddly, took about 15-20 minutes, but now it plays smoothly just like it did back when I had the Disk and a really old PC. Plays similar to some of the Elder Scrolls games and really takes me back to some of the old open world style RPGs. Glory awaits!!
