Might and Magic® 9

Game doesn't work, it freezes as soon as I press the key for inventory, map or any other screens. Tried all combinations of compatibility settings and game options. Dissapointing that GOG sells games in this state.

A game that gets a lot of hate, as it doesn't have the indepth world building of 6,7 and 8, but has enough twists and puzzles to entertain you.

I played Might and Magic IX quite a while ago... it wasn't so bad as to turn me away from the computer but after a while I realized that there was nothing keeping me there either and that while I could keep playing, there're many better games out there to spend my time on. All in all, I can't recommend it.

Every system in this game got worse from 6-8, other than the fact that enemies at least don't stand on top of each other. Starts off okay, but is really tedious in many ways. The battle system is okay. The loot system is okay but become repetitive quickly. Even if you like M&M you won't like this... it is unfinished and because of that, there is no reason to play this at all.

It's not worth paying for when other more complete games can be bought for less. The most impressive thing about this title is that it was even on retail shelves with the insane time and budget limit it had.
