Might and Magic® 6-pack Limited Edition

These Games were great, and they are made even better because they are packaged together. Althought the first 2 are really dated (dos-based), the package does a great job restoring these games to a win 7 era.

These are some of the finest games of roleplaying I have ever embarked on. I don't own this pack (I plan to soon), but I have played many in their original form and they are delights. There is nothing quite like taking your seedling group of adventurers and turning them into Red Wizards of Thay (wait, wrong game). One question, though: Why is this called the limited edition? Are they going to discontinue this product at some future date?

This review only concers MM VI: I recall seeing this game in EB back in April '98 and purchased it on a whim. Little did I know how this game would grab me and practically take over my free time until the end of that summer. A huge world, great soundtrack, and a nice story had me hooked as soon as I figured wth was going on(it was my first rpg). 13 years later, I see it as part of a six pack here on GOG and with some trepidation( are my fond memories only nostaligia, will it hold up?), I made the purchase, and am addicted all over again. I'll try the earlier incarnations after I finish VI, as most reviewers are gushing over them.

Always loved this series. Great world and character types. I remember playing these as a teenager. The IV and V "World of Xeen" concept was wonderful. I am glad this site has it as a bundle as my old floppy discs are long since tore up.

I've been a lover of this series since Might and Magic 3. But, the World of Xeen is the true kicker on this one for me. I have very fond memories, yes most are very nostalgic, of this game. However, the amount of game play, the depth of RPG awesomeness that this package provides, is absolutely undeniable. This is true character building and micromanagement in a package that is classic, but was quite ahead of its time at release. Enjoy this folks, this is a perfect game for a windows based tablet, or just a nice winter day with a Coke and some pretzels on your desk. Hope you love it half as much as I do.
