Midnight Scenes: A Safe Place

I've always wanted a Twilight Zone game and this hits the spot pretty well. While I was worried how short they were the later episodes are the length of a movie which I find perfect at certain times especially, but I greatly love that idea mostly of each episode being the length of about a movie. I found the stories very captivating I didn't get bored with it like some of the more cliche point and click adventures can be at times and the detailed close ups are just the best it's always a great surprise, I also had friends on my live stream enjoying the game also while I played and was a fun experience to all enjoy. It might be too easy with the puzzles for some players which might be disencouraging for more advanced players, but for me personally it works well. I hate being stuck on a puzzle that wastes too much time. the puzzles on these games are straight to the point and along the way so there is never the stress of back tracking either which in games can be tedious at times we can agree. and I can't not mention how much I liked the sound track. The Whole Series was amazing but I definitely had favourites that shined more. I can't wait for Episode 6.

The Midnight Scene games have improved on the technical side with each iteration and this one is no exception. The writing however can be hit or miss. This entry leaves me with mixed emotions as the main protaganist is just an incredible selfish and unlikable person which cause the majority of the experience to feel like a slog to get through. However, this entry finished strong. I loved the twist ending. Over all this is just kind of a meh game. Not great not terrible...

A base game
