The best in the series so far (I hope there will be more!). Even without horror elements it is still incredibly tense story about fighting mental illnes.
For the price point, scares, and commentary, this is a great game. You will be able to play it through in about an hour or so, and I think that's the right length, as it's very deliberate at the beginning. I would have liked a little more gameplay or agency, but I have to admit that I didn't expect the title to pull all the threads together, and it did. I went from disliking the protagonist to understanding his choices even better with the ending; very well done indeed.
I loved the other Midnight Scenes games and this one stands above the rest for me. The look and feel are still what you come to know and love from the one man power house Octavi Navarro. With each game the graphics improve is small but impactful ways giving more weight to the scenes. As a point and click game everything you want is here.
But the real hook it the story and feeling you get when playing. It is the feeling of playing a classic horror game or watching an old horror TV show. As I said in the Tital this is a personal horror story with amazing sounds and visuals that helps convey someone that is going through mental health struggles. The cast is small but all are interesting and have a reason to be in the game.
For all that played to other midnight scenes games this is a must have. And for new commers to the sceries this is one that will hook them in.
Thanks for reading my review and have a great day.
It's a narrative game, with no difficulty in puzzles or even enigmas. We're just drawn into a story worthy of the 4th dimension.
In this case, the subject matter is very much in line with the confinement experienced by the world, with a hero struggling to try to live, despite his doubts, fears and anxieties.
A truly beautiful and powerful game. A little more intimate than its predecessors, but as good as ever.
The music, though, is a little down on “from the woods”, but I quibble. ^^
All of the series are good, each one better from previous one...
But this one, holy crap. This is so good. The most mature episode of the series. And I got it on sale, but its worth every penny of full price, believe me. OFC if you are into point and click games. But how the story was driven, masterpeace !
