shadow of fun
The perfect example of a cash-grab sequal taking two steps forward and five steps back. No thanks. I'd rather play the first game. The controls are horrible. You can toggle sneak but not run. What's the purpose of ever walking in this game if you're not already sneaking? And the entire skills system is about as flexible as a canal filled with cement. Many of the game gimmicks are heavy-handed, forced, and generally anti=player. A good player-punishment simulator, this.

Shadow of Batman's Creed
Shadow of War is an absolute banger. It expands everything nice from Shadow of Mordor and making it even more complex. I adore how intuitive and fluent the gameplay is - every button on a controller matches actions like a good allegory matches its thing. There is something for sword'n'bow fans, stealth enjoyers and commander minds. Nemezis system - I won't even try to write in a compact way how amazing it is. AC Odyssey tried to make something similar, but in my opinion the lack of enemies hard levels makes the SoW much better. Of course, high level captains are harder to beat, but the level difference makes the experience a little bit tough, not masochistic. Attack / Counter / Stun / Evade + bonuses is like eating a pizza, burger and spaghetti in one meal - sooooo satisfying. Watching your orcs fight in The Pit? Glorious "football" manager. Sieges? Spies makes it a fun process before, no spies makes it a really fun but long fight. And then you get the second DLC (don't play the elf DLC - waste of time I'd say). It's like getting a new game inside the game, making the game still interesing even after all the sieges. Totally new play style, making it more like some Just Cause x Hades. And it works really nice, even on older pc's. My laptop is working really quiet yet making the game look beautiful on ultra. The only con is the lack of online wendettas and sieges - I liked the element of little lootboxing for free quests (from time to time only).

Must have for new and old LOTR fans!
To old LOTR fans who haven't played the Middle Earth games, they are wonderful hack and slash adventure games. Shadow of War is one of the best sequels to an original game out there. The nemesis system is one of the most magical and fun gaming mechanics that I've ever gotten to enjoy in a video game and I can't recommend it enough. To possible new LOTR fans through the show: get this game.

This game is brilliant.
I have just finished this game with 100% on Gravewalker difficulty. There is a great story, mechanics, and world. Dying is very painful because it makes enemies stronger, and playing on Gravewalker difficulty, makes this game a great challenge.I give only four stars because "Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion" was very frustrating to unblock all items - e.g., To unblock one item, I had to kill a few enemies when I was cursed. So, To be cursed, I need to be hit by the captain, which has a cursed weapon, but if all captains have about 60lv, then I'm dead after one hit. So, unblocking all items in a later game is almost impossible. The "Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion" DLC has an excellent idea to play a hero who may die.
