Developed by Kojima Productions and PlatinumGames, METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE takes the renowned METAL GEAR franchise into exciting new territory with an all-new action experience. The game seamlessly melds pure action and epic story-telling that surrounds Raiden – a child soldier transformed into a half-human, half-cyborg ninja who uses his High Frequency katana blade to cut through any thing that stands in his vengeful path!

A huge success on both Xbox 360® and PlayStation®3, METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE comes to PC with all the famed moves and action running within a beautifully-realised HD environment.

PC version includes all three DLC missions: Blade Wolf, Jetstream, and VR Missions, in addition to all customized body upgrades for Raiden, including: White Armor, Inferno Armor, Commando Armor, Raiden’s MGS4 body, and the ever-popular Cyborg Ninja.

  • "CUTSCENES" option added to the Main Menu. Play any and all cutscenes.
  • "CODECS" option added to the Main Menu. Play all and any codec conversation scenes.
  • Menu option added to the "CHAPTER" Menu enabling user to play only the Boss battles.
  • "GRAPHIC OPTIONS" added to the OPTIONS Menu. Modify resolution, anti-aliasing, etc.
  • There is an option reading "ZANGEKI" that will modify the amount of cuts you can make.

Pretty Cool Game

In this game you play a pretty cool guy with a big sword and doesn't afraid of nothing. You get in all kinds of fights but the best part of the game are the cutscenes. The story and dialogue is rivaled only by the best DBZ episodes.

Frustrating controls - decent game

Quick action pace, swords, 3rd person view, futuristic story - in theory I should love this game. In practice, the controls frustrate me to no end. Camera control has been justifiably pointed out as weak point. The blade mode - I can see what they have tried to do and it can be satisfying to cut the weaker mobs to pieces. Yet it can be incredibly unreliable to turn the blade to the exact angle within the time frame in boss battles. Blocking requires target lock - I bet you will miss this small nugget during the tutorial. It also requires pointing the stick in the direction of the attack - you can guess how the weak camera control makes this into a futile exercise sometimes. Overall for the gameplay - stick to easy mode to have fun. You won't find the tight controls from Devil May Cry, Bayonetta or Dead Cells here. Story wise - it's serviceable. Fans of the franchise will be happy, the over-the-top dialog and action scenes are enough to move things forwards. It's not a bad game but it's not great either. The camera and combat controls have good ideas which didn't deliver well enough in execution. Graphics and world building is well executed.

"It has to be this way"!

Why didn't anyone tell me that METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE came to gog.com?!? Instand purchase for me... again! Finally I own MGR on gog as well - just like I do on PS3, Xbox 360 and Steam. Yeas I bought this game twice on PC! Some games are just THAT awesome to me, that I want support them as much as possible. "That's The Only Thing I Know For Real!"
