Description
Kurt Hectic in his snazzy suit with ribbon chute is back to save the universe. This time he is teamed with the genius Dr. Hawkins and the 6-legged gun-toting robotic dog, Max. Together they must out-sneak, out-blast and out-think their enemies as they attempt to reclaim the Earth from a vile alien menace.

All three characters - Kurt, Doctor Hawkins and Max are playable, each has his own levels, powers and items and a completely different gameplay focus. Kurt is about stealth and sniping, the Doctor has a few direct attacks but also has the ability to create items and effects out of simple household objects, while Max is a cigar smoking, quad gun toting demolition squad of a dog.

Comedy and Action

This is one of the funniest first person shooters I've ever played. The wisecracks, oneliners and 50's comic book inspired cutscenes always puts a smile on my face. The fact that the gameplay mechanics are smooth and intuitive makes for a five-star experience!

Great!

I can see why some don't like this as much as the first one, but there's many reasons as to why it's better or at least as good. The controls are so much more responsive, the game is faster, has better music and graphics and plays pretty much the same. Only difference is, is that there's now 3 people to play as. A 4 Armed Dog, Kurt and the Prof. But basically the game is the same mix of action, platforming and puzzling that MDK was and it's got 10 massive levels with a boss at the end of everyone. And the final level has to be replayed another twice to get all of the endings (Beat it with everyone). So if you liked the first, try this one out, it's worth the cash and I think you'll be surprised.

MDK2 is a blast!, but need some fixes

oh the nostalgia, i love MDK2! one of my first games i played on the Win XP, a great sequel to an already awesome game from 90's an action-shooter with some sense of humor. story takes place right where previous one left-off, after alien race leader was defeated and stopping their invasion to earth, more of them have return but in much bigger numbers and the heroes (Max, Dr. Hawkins and Kurt) have to save the earth again. every chapter you play a different character and each character gameplay is slightly different and unique: 'Max', 'Dr. Hawkins' and 'Kurt'. Kurt is my favorite out of the 3, with his sniping rifle, his alien-like suit, parachute and some minor puzzles overall the most balanced out of the 3, Max the four-armed robotic dog is walking machine gun, pretty much run 'n gun type gameplay. the third character Dr. Hawkins is the weakest character and also most focus on puzzle solving. MDK in general is type of games we don't see anymore, the level of originality, sense of humor and zaniness these games had. the game's soundtrack by Jesper Kyd, Albert Olson and Raymond Watts is one of the best game soundtracks i have ever heard in a game. i'm playing it on Win 10, but you have to play with the setting cause i noticed some technical problems, such as on the highest resolution (1920x1080) the game will run fine for the most part but some glitches in the game textures will pop-up, also in widescreen you can see the edges of the screen and it looks messed-up (like in the beginning of the game), it's better to put it in lower resolution with 4:3 aspect ratio with some filter. also adjust you're mouse sensitivity cause it's little wonky at first. for some reason the text scrolling before every mission (usually moving fast) is moving very slowly which is really annoying. i hope someday this will get patched. aside from that issue the game plays great on my Win 10 just make sure to check the game settings before you play.

As cool as ever, but..

Well, MDK2 has its own style, fun etc. and a solid gameplay. On this, only 2 things are a little bit annoying.. In the Loading screen, you are waiting really long until the letters with local and time-information are dispplayed full, i guess this is a bug.. Plus, the reaction of Kurz and the Doctor on the Mouse are rly cruel, thats why i would say: Play it with a Gamepad, it's better.

Fantastic game, don't miss it!

MDK 2 has aged incredibly well. It was awesome in 2000 and still is today. It's really much fun and full of funny ideas. For me one of the best games ever. Some are whining that it's difficult or frustrating. It really isn't too hard, trust me. I'm not an expert player and I had no problems to beat this game. You can save your progress everytime you want. Sometimes you need a bit time to figure out how to beat a boss, but what's wrong with that. Three totally different playable characters and all of them are much fun.
