Master of Orion 1+2

Well, I can't add anything to the praises deservedly heaped on this game. "MOO" was the first game my wife and I nicknamed "The Time Vampire", and we loved every bite. I've kept my original copy over the years and I re-bought the GOG version with, I assume, the inherent patch, but I am wondering, is the multiplayer online option feasible? The screen for Multiplayer offers a link to the "TEN" network, which I assume is now defunct (as it blinks merrily when clicked but nothing else happens), or asks you your modem's baud rate(!!!); does anyone know if it's possible to play this game online with friends? I know of at least three old gaming buddies who would snap it up in a heartbeat if we could all play together.

I still own the hard copy of MoO2. By far one of the best space strategy games I've ever played in my life, and still gets installed occasionally on my PC every so often.

Fantastic!!!! Fun!!!!! My favorite turn based game ever!!!!! Challenging!!!! Attention getting (Ive played for 36hrs at one setting) I couldnt bare to save it and walk away!!!! Im so thankful for gog. When my original copy wouldnt install on vista it literally ruined my day. The only game I ever play on a regular basis of the 200+ titles I possess.

MOO 1 is the greatest. Deep and intricate ship design and combat, races and leaders with distinct personalities, devious diplomacy, partially randomized tech trees reward adaption and light micromanagement keeps the pace high. MOO 2 is pretty great too.
