This is a really good game

The art-work, annimations,, riddles and story are really good. I enjoyed this little gem despite not being to fond of plattformers. It is a piece I thorroughly enjoy having in my collection and on my shelf. With the remastered version finally coming to GoG too, I am very pleased with it being offered as free update to owner of the previous special addition. So all in all, you receive the same treatment as Steam-buyers, plus having the advantage of not dealing with DRM or client-binding. *Applaus to the developpers for their choice and courage of going GoG too* So yea, buy it! Support the developpers. The few bucks are no reason to get a pirate-version of a DRM-free game.

Perfect Stealth Game Made more Perfect.

Ok, so I owned the original MoTN which I purchased previously from GOG. The video CLAIMED it was the Special Edition, but it turned out not to be. Apparently they actually did used to sell the Special Edition, but that got pulled a while back leaving many of us with a false positive and playing through the regular edition with no special content... Then they drop the Re-Mastered version, which contains all the Special Edition content I never got to experience. It was a free update for those who had somehow got the Special Edition before it was pulled... But for those of us who got lied to we got a discount... A great discount, actually. I got it for $5. Now I'm getting to experience all the Special Edition content, which is wonderful. More missions, more of the mechanics I love. More items. Even though I feel I got shafted for having to pay anything for getting this game I still give it 5 Stars, because that's what it freaking deserves! I'm not reviewing my treatment, but the game. And the game is awesome! -Great Stealth mechanics. -Wonderful story of madness and betrayal. -Intense platforming that will test even the most seasoned gamer. -Multiple outfits and play styles as you unlock them throughout the game, which enhances your ability to play the ninja you want to be. Do you like the shadows and silence? Or do you like plowing through your enemies? Earn the suit that fits you best and play the heck out of it! -Great music and atmosphere. You're a ninja in modern times that has the skills to stay hidden... perhaps. I seriously can't recommend this game enough. Now that this version is out I have no qualms. It has all the content you could want, and it looks/sounds/feels better than the original. GET IT! You won't regret it. I certainly don't.

One of the bests

Side-scrolling games are not really my favorites. But this one is an exception. I played the original version entirely already twice already, and can't wait to play again through this version. The blend of action and stealth, combined with clever tactics and smart skills, all this makes Mark of the Ninja one of my favourite games in 30 years of gaming. 5 stars for real!

The mark of a masterpiece of the genre

Finally the definitive version arrived at GOG, and we all deserved the extra content of this stealth masterpiece. Mark of The Ninja is so clear in its forms, in the lightness of its controls and in its fantastic art that you really feel immersed in this stealthy world. In addition, the satisfying story and its animations that refer to the drawings of the early 2000s add additional charm. I feel very grateful for playing games like this, not only for the quality, but for the simple fact that you will find almost nothing of the kind, especially when it comes to side scrolling, even if a casual player will make progress , because the difficulty evolution is very well balanced, and even if you fail (and it will happen a lot), the feeling of progression is so pleasant that the sensation is almost pleasant. Buy with peace of mind. It is Klein Studio's greatest masterpiece in all its glory, and DRM-free, of course.

Ninja, as it was meant to be

When I bought PS4 this was the first game I bought other than the one the console was boundled with. I heard odes about this title and yet again another dozen of praizes as the remake came out. Despite this I think this game's value is very subjective. It is really a perfect stealth game, everything it offers was designed in mind of the 2D environment, you will not see anything nonsense anywhere. There is multiple solutions without binding the player's choice to any schemes. This, the general part of the game is objectively the highest quality of its genre. The subjective factor start to kick in once you completed the game one time, or even if you repay any of the missions before that but especially during new game plus. I can see clearily it wasn't meant for people who rush to complete the game with 100% achievements and finding the perfect solutions only for that. The game shines at its brightest if you don't get bored playing over and over again. Once you have no goals to achieve which would influence your playstyle as some of those requires very specific and forced approach, you will start to play more free, more radically just because that move or way looks good for you and simply can't get bored of seeing it. I'm such kind of a player. I still have fun after this much time without ever getting frustrated over anythng the game throws at me. I really recommend it for everyone regardless of what kind of games you like. Just don't throw the game away once you completed it and keep returning times to times, and then you sure find your enjoy here.
