Big love but too many bugs
Big love for this classic, but i get a lot of audio bugs, and sometimes i had to restart from the last check point because some event was not properly triggered. e.g. when you have to get away from the police with sam the game did not recognize he was in the car and kept telling me to let im in

Fun but missing some charm
Hangar 13 have done a good job bringing the original Mafia into the modern age however it is missing some of the charm from the original game. I was happy to see options for how strict the police are as removing the original's crime system would have been a shame. The shooting, at least with a controller, is a bit wonky but it's serviceable. Driving is also fairly janky, with a camera that likes to wobble and move around but you get used to it. Unless you suffer from motion sickness, then it may be a deal breaker. You'll know early enough in the game. All in all a solid experience but lacking in charm and polish.
