Mad Max

This is a good solid, entertaining, enjoyable game that would be a shame to pass up on sale and was worth full price. It has some repretitiveness, and filler, but it has fun in spades. Good story and art and the game mechanics work pretty well, but it is weird not to be able to jump. One of the few games a completed shortly after buying.

I really wanted to like this because I've always loved the Mad Max setting (since mid-80ies), it has great graphics, setting and general atmosphere. But - no free saving or loading, the annoying mood-killing sidekick "buddy", weird control scheme and no real open world (explicitely mission-based), with the incongrous feel in general, have all killed my desire to play and am doing it just to see the "ending" - playing out of habit, so to speak. Sadly.

I am truly blown away at how much fun this game was to play. What keeps it from being 5-star, well, annoying bugs like being jumped by a faction and they just suddenly disappear. If you have not played this yet, I would definitely pick it up immediately.

I stumbled on this by a total accident, and I am surpirised this absolute GEM of a game is not known more by a general public. It is a fantastic open world/sandbox game. The world, characters and atmosphere is taken right from the Mad Max movies, the fast paced action is thrilling, the car crashes and chases are mind blowing, the explosions effects are beautiful, the gameplay timer is long enough to keep you satisfied for sure. It is a post apocalyptic story driven free roam game but its just so much more. Worls is beautiful in its dirtiness the voice acting is spot on, the tempo and adrenaline of gore and fights is evenly mixed with times of serenity and reverie over world that died. Play it, you wont be disappointed.

If it wasn't for the open world boring formula that plagues the gaming industry, i would've give this one 5 stars. The world is beautiful and aggressive, really cool car upgrades, not much of a memorable story but cool characters and lovely design. 100% pure Mad Max rage with Batman combat vibes.
