Lula(Wet): The Sexy Empire
I've been playing this game on and off (sometimes with a few years in between) since my teens. The game has a very, very simple story. The game play isn't very complex. It's a game that is easy to learn and play. I've often seen in reviews, and in forum threads over the years that people have gone into the game with far too high expectations. The very core of the game is, more or less, a very simple business simulator with a bit of "boob humor". It were pretty much never intended to be a super sexy game, or a flat out "man to hand action" game, or a very deep and complex game. What I like the most about the game is the art made by Carsten Wieland. It takes me back to the comics that I used to read. MAD, Pyton among others (and some other old games as well.). What I like the second most is the gameplay. It's simple, I don't need to struggle with it. I won't get frustrated with it or things like that. Just kick back, relax and kill some time. Suits me quite well a lazy day. When it comes to the humor part. Well, I've change over the years, and what used to have me laughing doesn't make me laugh as much now. I do find some of the characters to look quite humorous still, but a fat man in stockings doesn't get me to laugh as much as it used to. Given the exposure we have today to these kind of stuff... well, it's quite likely that many may wonder where the humor is. The sound, the music and voice acting wasn't great back in my teens, and it hasn't got any better over the years (I do like some of the old tunes though). Don't expect too much of it. Lastly, the game won't appeal to everyone (does any game?), don't expect too much of it. Just let the game be what it is. A simple business simulator with a little bit of ol' fashioned "boob humor". Is the game worth buying today? If you're expecting some man to hand action, then the answer is no. If you want something easy and just chill, or to kill time with, then this could be on the "maybe-list".
