I'm very glad to see this title on here. I forgot that I really have a nostalgic spot in my heart for it. I originally played it on 3DO and just loved it. I recall some obtuse puzzles that needed a guide but it was a 90s adventure game so that just comes with the territory.
This game was my first PC game I have ever bought.
Soon, I lost my CD :(
And now, I found it here, after 22 years later.
Thank you very much GOG.
I was really impressed :)
I played this as a kid and wanted to play it again. I tried messing with DOSBox to get it to work from a different site and searched it to see if it was the file I had downloaded. I was glad to see I could buy it and play it with absolutely no hassle!
It's a relatively simple game, once you figure out what you're doing. Don't expect a challenge and expect an interesting story, great soundtrack, and a beautiful world for its time and you'll like it.
This game was two years before I was even born, so I've never heard of it throughout my life. I only found out about through my love of old games like Giants Citizen Kabuto and others like it.
I am very curious to play such archaic games, especially from the 90's. Lost Eden is one to add to my list of curiousities. I find Lost Eden to be a neat little time capsule of old tech, and with a unique concept of man and dinosaur. A theme you don't see that much of, which I would like to see more in modern gaming.
I found the low-pixel, low-rendering, and basic art of this game to be very appealing. The colors pop out, and the best of all is the soundtrack! My god the music is mesmorizing and really takes you into this simple litte world Cryo games created for us.
Thi game is good for history-type gamers, who can overlook technical drawbacks from the past and find the beauty in what artist made with limited technological abilities.
As for Lost Eden, the story isn't a Thmoas Harris Novel, but it's cute, simple, and clear.
Get this game, go back in time for a little bit! The GOG version works flawlessly, I played it on Windows 10.
I loved this game as a child and was sooo happy when I saw that it came out on GOG. Its one of these adventures which doesn´t focus so much on story or hard puzzles. Other adventures are quite better when it comes to riddles. In fact this one is quite simple what can be a bit boring at the end but I still love the atmosphere created from the music and these mid 90s rendering graphics. If you look for something easy but atmospheric to play then this could be a choice. And its also something to play with children ;) Thanks GOG for releasing this one.
