Proper RTS with campaing, buggy though

I don't know why there is so much hate in reviews... Just finished both campaigns in this FREE RTS and it was actually decent. Sure pathfinding is atrocious and units can just freeze everywhere or get stuck on nothing, balance is doubtfull and AI can be annoying BUT this is proper RTS with CAMPAIGN, gathering recources and building a base and this is something that is unexisting right now in the marcet, not even indie...

If you have time to waste.

Useless. If this game would have been released in the late '90s it'd be nice. Released in 2018, no thanks. All the worst bugs, errors and limitations that could be forgiven 25 years ago, cannot be in a 2018 game. I'm talking about user-unfriendly interface, units pathfinding, graphic misimplementation, and overall you can't set the speed of the game. It lacks of originality, of an engaging story, of an enjoyable gameplay, of a good looking graphics. It's free. Okay. That's the only point in favor. But I prefer to pay some bucks and enjoy a well done game, instead of wasting my precious time playing something boring and unentertaining. Dismissed.

Recommendedm but not for everyone. 7/10

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence in her shoe. PROS: + WarCraft 2 graphics. + Sounds and music are quite good. + Mix of WC2 and WC3 gameplay. + Intresting campaign with enjoyable humor. CONS: - Pathfinight issues, where units get stuck or "teleport" to random location. - Small number of skirmish maps. - No map editor. - No multiplayer.

A decent Fantasty RTS...

... clearly inspired by warcraft 3, which unfortunately don't manage to surpass, or equal...just emulate at the barest level. Still, it is a decent and enjoyable game. Not that much difficult, or frustrating, but it does become repetitive after a while (just two faction, and the units are few and half them are just an upgraded version of the first half). As for the rest, sound is the most on point of all the feature, while graphics and story are suited for the genre, but don't give anything worth writing home. Now, I may appear harsh on this game, but I recommended (plus, it's free!) for anyone, especially if you are a 90's RTS enthusiast. You'll feel like home again.

Fun at the beginning, but...

The game itself was fun at the beginning, i wanted a simple Warcraft 2 clone like wyrmsun and it delivered. However, with only 2 races the game itself runs fastly out of steam and it hasnt nearly the longevity warcraft 2 did. All is getting very boring very soon and there is a reason why: Without a map editor, or more then a handfull of maps, the game has nothing to offer after the campaign is finished. The developer abandoned the project as far as i can see, because there havent been updates for ages. All in all i dont understand why it has such a high rating, but without map editor and the features that should have been implemented by now, its just a very short lived experience. Btw in skirmishes the AI has big limitations when the first gold mine is empty and often has problems getting another one, which makes it even less interesting. I cant recommend it and after playing the campaigns, never touched it again. Normally thats when the fun with rts-games beginns for me...
