Plagued
I enjoyed the story, but the game itself is just poorly made. The graphics are quite bad. The artwork is blurry, and when mixed with 3D environments it's very jarring. Several times the "blur" effect for backgrounds is overlayed ON TOP of foreground elements which it's intended at all. The scenes take forever to load sometimes for a game with these graphics. The story presents itself at a point with "choices" but they have no impact at all by the end. The narrative doesn't shift depending on your actions. The story was quite interesting, and I did enjoy what was happening, but overall the actual mechanics/graphics was incredibly lacking

Worst performance of Remigush Michalski
I really really love the original Downfall and The Cat Lady. So Lorelai was a highly anticipated game for me. She turned out to be the biggest disappointment. 1. This is more an interactive cartoon than a game. The gameplay is almost non-existent. Perhaps it was worth making a cartoon, not a game? 2. The length of the plot exceeds all reasonable limits. 3. Terrible post-processing filters that light up and darken the picture. The game looks just awful. 4. Cherry on the cake - a monstrous optimization. Unity is a terrible engine for such games. Such a visually stingy game manages to slow down on a laptop, quietly launching a shooter or strategy.

A Game of Beautiful Shadows.
Lorelai is a very strong adventure title that is third in a series of wonderful emotionally complex titles. It is not as absorbing as the previous two titles. I think partly this is because the plot is more straightforward, and since you can see where it's going it is less scary. Also, this character is more developed than Susan from the Cat Lady which makes it feel more like you're roleplaying her and less like you're experiencing what she's experiencing. But all that is only in comparison to the previous two titles. This is still a great adventure game with a strong story with good dialogue (but easy puzzles). I'm hoping the next game from the developer explores the sleepwalker character because that could really open up the universe.

Work of art
I am on Chapter 5 and wanted to stop and jump in to add my reviw. I've been playing games since DOS and typically focus on adventure games overall yet have played and enjoyed every genre. Lorelai is an easy game as far as gameplay; however, it is way too good to judge based solely on that. It is truly like a really good book or movie that you just don't want to end and that encopororates many levels and depths of emotion via various environments, quality music, sound and vocals. I also played and enjoy this developers other two games but this is, so far, an even more well rounded and polished work. Buy it for the storyline versus challenge. It is, IMO, phenomenal and one of the very best games I've played in years. Kudoes to the developer and team.... job very well done.
