Retro boringness made modern.
Where to start... the story. The gods call you to save the world (litterally). Done. The graphics: Well, it's not horrible, it has that retro taste, but other than that it is absolutely not interesting. It is not captivating in anyway. It's colorfull, cartoonish, bland. Graphics and animations in combat are just irritating for how ugly they are. The combat: take turns, trade blows. Most of the time is HP economy, with some "injury" here and there that add some malus. You can exchange party position to avoid death. The strategy here is most to decide on what monster concentrate hits, to reduce the number of attacks as quickly as possible. It is easy to try and use a spell, ending up moving a character, due to poor UI. User interface: Really, is a marvel of crappiness. It's not intuitive, It's difficult to find what you want or what you need t do. Characters: They are as shallow as they could be. Aside the main character, that get some dialog in the game, the party is absolutely anonymous. I've played loads of old RPGs at the time, and non of those was so dull, boring, slow and uninteresting. They have taken something from different old RPGs and worsened as much as they could.
