Lords of the Fallen Game of the Year Edition 2014

It's very good game. Don't read negative reviews. Lies. Try it.

The story of the game seems decent however everything else is mediocre to bad. This game was my very first souls like game and I can't bring myself to like it. After the first three bosses as a warrior, I couldn't do it anymore, because it's too grindy and some enemies (not bosses) are very unfair. I bought it for 2 euros to decide to give a shot, but after 5 hours I just couldn't anymore. The dodge roll is too slow, parrying/blocking does almost nothing, you just have to perma dodge roll. If you decide to play as brawler/warrior don't, it is THE HARDEST CLASS IN THE GAME. The heavy armor is great, but the weapons even with sockets feel like they do no damage at all. If you die the enemies respawn, if you restart the game the enemies respawn. There are some enemies that you need to kill specific runes for them to die, because otherwise they regenerate so fast while doing damage to you. Health potions barely work. You have to be so far away from enemies for it to work, because if you try to press 1 on keyboard there is a small delay and if they attack fast it's impossible to heal yourself back up. TLDR: The game is very hard, very grindy, seems unrewarding for the amount of time you put into it, enemies unfair, bosses are OK and the story is decent. I do not recommend this game. Save your for money for a better souls like game.

I liked this game. The game has its own style

I loved The Surge so I picked this game up hoping it would be the same but different, and it is... but it's not good. Combat is the main focus in these games and here it just feels slugish, like your underwater or something. It's not slow, just laboured. TL;DR: Want a good Souls-like by Deck 13? Get The Surge.

Cluky unresponsive (read delayed) controls are death of any souls like game. Graphics is great, idea and atmosphere as well, but the bread and butter of the game like this is combat and that sinks it.
