Little Nightmares

Little Nightmares came out touted as one hell of a creepy experience and it lived up the the experience. Overall I loved my time with this game and if you, like me, have a penchant for this type of disturbing in your games, are going to have a great time. You may not always understand the fine details, but you will understand enough to be happy with what just happened, and the process to get there will have far more ups then down. Sit, back, relax, and enjoy everything you are about to experience.

A game full of suspense and with a unique personality. worthy heir to limbo, but in my opinion, much better. It has a message that, although disturbing, is very reminiscent of Swift's satire: "A Modest Proposition." I won't give any spoilers, but this nightmare shows us that it is not necessary to use exaggerated monsters to give us chills. The mechanics, puzzles and collectibles are well balanced. The music, the designs, the settings, the mechanics and bosses are unique in their kind. Welcome to the podium of historical horror games. I can't wait to play the second and third parts.

The game is fantastic and has some genuinly unnerving moments. However, I think the replay value is low. Puzzles are often too obvious, or confusing until you discover a part of the enviroment can be interacted with, but doesn't look like it can be interracted with. This leads to a little frustration when you realise what you need to do. Rather than saying "Ah ha!" it's more an "Are you serious?". The only other thing to mention is a certain boss can be a little annoying to deal with if you die multiple times to it. Having to replay the same sequence ove and over due to easily made mistakes. Non of these problems are deal breakers, and this franchise goes on sale quite often. Worth a play through and is very enjoyable for the most part.

Playing this game just be prepared for some disturbing things. The creatures are nicely done. The character you are playing progresses in a way in the game which you will experience the further into the game you get. The controls can at times be a bit annoying as you do have to make sure you do line up the jumps correctly and get up on things and so on. That and in the beginning the tutorial for the controls took time to show up. It is a short game. Thats the only things that was "negative" but nothing that really took away from the gaming experience in my opinion.. The graphics are very good for the areas and the creatures you encounter. It has very nice sound effects and the music were top notch. I for sure recommend you try it out if you would like a bit of dark and disturbing world to explore.
