Teenage drama with time travel

This game plays like Telltale game with time travel mechanic - if you don't like the choice you made, you can reverse time and choose another one (with few exceptions). Your character is a teenage girl at the high school who discovers she can control time. You can expect the usual time travel shenanigans, butterfly effect and so on. The story starts as a teenage drama and later turns into a thriller. It is one of those games that heavily play on the nostalgic/tearful note and try to make you cry. But it worked on me. It's a unique blend of comic book artstyle, tear jerking soundtrack, teenage drama, thriller, detective mystery, supernatural phenomena ... With that kind of combination, anything could go wrong. But it didn't. And I'm grateful for it.

One of the best ever

I cannot remember playing a game where I could not put it down. I just wanted to play, and felt sad at the end of each chapter, because it was an episodic game, like an interactive TV show that I did not want to end. There is not exactly much replay value, as you can make different choices, but the overall end I think, but it is like a good show that you can watch over and again.

Great Story-based Game

I played the mobile Version with a Controller. Every episode was extremely good and I couldnt wait to play more when I wasnt playing the game. I CRIED because of the characters who are just believable. I personally like the slow chill parts in these type of games. (I found the second episode in tell me why pretty good. Most people didnt like that episode that much)

A masterpiece

I love decision-based games, mostly because I like the gut feeling of the 'what if...' after you made a decision, but this game it just pure art. To the point that I'm considering it my favorite game of all time. The game has a lot of cinematics or interactive scenes, and a little of just you moving around searching for stuff (beware players that don't like this kind of things). As my avatar screams, I'm a huge fan of Metal Gear series, so I'm very used to grab popcorn and enjoy a long-ass cinematics. The ambience, the music, the development of characters, even the photography (no pun intended) is amazing and very beautiful. The game only went better with each episode, and never had a downhill moment. As it happened to me with 'Heavy Rain', even though I wanted to replay it, I just couldn't. The choices you make, are the ones that you must stick with, that's the experience of life (besides the game mechanic itself but you understand what I mean). As Evangelion said "you can(not) redo". Even if you don't like this type of games, give it a try. You'll enjoy it and most important, you'll remember it.

A Cute Juvenile Story

I bought this game because it is one my girlfriend played growing up and I wanted to be able to relate to her better. I was surprised when I saw a bunch of negative reviews on a game that just feels kind of like light teen hyperbolic drama. I will admit it is a different experience than most games I've played. For one I think it would have felt more salient when it came out and I was 18, since with the retrospect of adulthood the themes can seem exaggerated or petty. The other thing is, I cannot get into the headspace of the protagonist. She is outwardly meek, but kind of nosy and plotting. So, instead of feeling like I *am* the protagonist, I feel like I'm sitting on her shoulder like, "Is this really our best plan Max?" xD I feel nostalgic playing it and I like that feeling. For my girlfriend it is much more impactful, and I also see a lot of the main character in her (I think she must have played this religiously), but for me it's just kind of cute. I would recommend it. Also, yes, the bad guys are people like the redneck, ex-soldier-turned-security-guard, confederate-aesthetic stepdad who is strict with his punk daughter and wants to install cameras all over the school for surveillance. If you feel like that is "liberal propaganda" and not just a flat, universally hate-able character, maybe you should do some self-reflection LOL I'm a gun owner myself and I'm not offended by this depiction of a nut-job xD
