This isn't a "video game."
I origininally received the entire "video game" series for free on Steam from SquareEnix during a special promotion. I later asked Steam to permanently remove said "video game" from my library. Why? It should be appreciated that when a person sits down to read a book, listen to music, watch a movie or (in this case) play a video game it is because the person is looking for some harmless escapism from the real world and its myriad of problems. Wanting to chill out and relax isn't such a bad thing. Right? And so, when I began to play through this "video game" it became all too clear that it is a political manifesto disguised as a video game... Life Is Strange is literally a Socialist-Liberal kinetic novel that relentlessly bludgeons you to death with the same dreary and unimaginative Socialist-Liberal narrative of what they perceive is wrong with the world... and more to the point, what they insist is wrong with you, the "toxic gamer". The condescending tone, insults, and preachiness aren't even hidden. It is all unceremoniuosly dropped into your lap with the delivery and skill of a cat coughing up a hairball. Make no mistake. Life Is Strange *IS NOT* a "video game." It is a political soap-box. No more; no less. Save your money. It wasn't even worth suffering the play through even though I got it for free.
