Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude: Uncut and Uncensored!

To say it with Al Lowe's own words: "Those who seek 3D boobs, profanity, and fart jokes will be pleased. Those who fondly remember my games will be severely disappointed." Yes I give this game one star because it's abusing the franchise regardless if there are people actually finding joy in stupid minigames. I played it a couple of years ago and never finished it. Should have read more about the content beforehand. It's NOT a Leisure Suit Larry game with updated (today outdated) graphics if think that's what you get. If you're looking for subtle humor and play on words you won't get it. It's just blatant cursing and "boobs, boobs, boobs".

I'm not great at reviewing, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I'd say the game is a fairly solid 4-star experience, but I bumped it up to 5 because of the nostalgia factor. The game is well-written and comes out of left field with hilarious antics and dialogue. The game design is fantastic, as well. Out of all the mini-games here, the conversation mini-game shines the brightest and can, let's say, escalate rapidly, lol. Overall, Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude is a fun and memorable experience, no matter how much time has gone by since initial release.

A collection of repetitive mini-games with some story bits sprinkled in-between. As someone already mentioned, the dialogue mini-game is somewhat entertaining and Larry does throw in a couple of witty remarks here and there, but Magna Cum Laude as a whole is dated and, worst of all, painfully boring.

and doesn't retain any of the spirit of the series. It's clearly a poor money grab attempt and is overall a pretty bad game. Don't buy it if you're expecting a leisure suit larry adventure...

I played this game in college (and completed it, which I can't say about a lot of games I bought back then). I enjoyed it a lot as I liked that kind of humor. I thought the original games were better written, but this one is definitely worth trying out if you enjoy the series. I'm not sure if I would still enjoy it now that I'm older, but definitely good at the time.
