Game is trash
Quarters is imposible. You can only move mouse towards and away from you. No matter how I move it away, even if I fling it as hard as a I can across my mousepad so it moves at least a foot and hits the back of my slideout keyboard tray, it still says short throw.

Terrible game all around
It's not so much the nudity (pixelated and low res that it is) that bothers me. Nor is it the puerile, juvenile garbage that passes for humor. I can handle these -- even enjoy them -- if it's in the service of a great game. MCL gameplay isn't great. It's not even good. It's a bunch of mindless, Flash-level minigames that you have to grind over, and over, and over again to get anywhere. My advice: if you want the same level of titillation and lowbrow humor, go out and rent something like Van Wilder or whatever passes for a grossout teen comedy these days. You'll waste less time.

A hateful, tedious mess.
In this game, there's a minigame you play where you try to get a girl drunk enough so she'll agree to have sex with you. One of the girls really wants a relationship, and you end up sneaking out of the room after you get your rocks off with her. You molest another girl with a sex toy at the end of another encounter; she hilariously "turns lesbian" as a result. You know what I call games like this? Hateful. Magna Cum Laude is not an adventure game. Instead of the sharply-written puzzle-solving elements you expect from the Larry series, you instead play minigames. In the most common one, you swim a sperm through three lanes and attempt to hit the right tokens so Larry says "the right things" in deplorable pickup-artist fashion. Played right, it's boring. Played wrong, it's occasionally funny but frustrating, since you have to listen to all the same dialogue again to proceed. The other minigames wear out their welcome much more quickly. You know what games like this are? Tedious. I would literally rather play Roadhouse: The Arcade Game than this, but to be fair, that's because *that* game sounds incredible, while Magna Cum Laude is anything but. Buy Love For Sail! or Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse instead.

Not Larry
This is not a point and click adventure by any standard, and has very little to do with the pretty much otherwise excellent Leisure Suit Larry series. Maybe this is why gog.com no longer stands for GOOD old games.
