Description
Legend of Grimrock 2 is a dungeon crawling role playing game with a modern execution but an oldschool heart. A group of four prisoners have shipwrecked on the secluded Isle of Nex. The island is filled with ancient crumbled ruins, mysterious shrines and a vast underground network of dungeons and mines. If the prisoners wish to make it out alive, they have to overcome the challenges devised by the ominous mastermind of the island.

Wizardry 2015
Vector graphics, some text and rudimentary pc speaker bleepings were enough to make Wizardry the go-to series for classic dungeon crawling in the 1980's. Today Grimrock 2 effectively re-creates that specific game feel of the classic dungeon crawl with modern everything visual and technical. Whatever flaws Grimrock 1 had, have been splendidly fixed in this release. Still, there are quirky input and timing based issues specific to this genre which can be a deal breaker for some and spell casting can be downright vexing. Quick! What pattern of runes do I have to draw again for fireball?! If you want a classic and modern dungeon crawl as good as Wizardry was and better in ways Wizardry could never be, Grimrock 2 is it.

Disappointing
For me the game was extremely disappointing. Yes the graphics are nicer than the first part, and beeing outside was a big improvement. But the puzzles are just no fun at all. Yes I solved a lot of them, but the point that it is important in some puzzles in which direction you look with the camera... well this was the point were i decided to stop playing this game. Very disappointing puzzle design over all.
