Legend of Grimrock

If you were a fan of the Eye of the Beholder series, you will absolutely love this game. Make sure you turn off the automap in settings before starting the game. Playing old-school and mapping the dungeons yourself brings back so many memories. Also make sure to check the other downloads for the game, as they even have printable Grimrock graph paper!

There's no better place to buy this game than Good Old Games. No matter the game came out yesterday. It's a definition of old school. When you type that into Google you should get a screen from the Legend of Grimrock! This game has this marvellous syndrome of "one more corner to look around". It has this incredible feeling of mystery, without any cheap tricks. The climate is awesome. Sure there are things that we could complain about (not too wide variety of opponents, repetitive surroundings) but the whole rest makes for it in 100%. I don't regret a single penny spent on it!

I love Dungeon Master and this is modern remake of it. After couple hours of playing I can tell: this is awesome oldschool game. Even if released in 1990, it would be considered really good. Who cares about today's "modern RPG", if we have Legend of Grimrock. Please, release editor (with possibility of importing new graphic - those walls get old pretty quickly) and I'll be happiest player in the world. Of course, that game itself is merely just a copy of DM and other great dungeon crawlers. But making it playable today was not an easy task. More of this!

I was waiting for it since last summer, and it was worth it. Classic dungeon crawler at its best. Must have.

Played the game for an hour or so. Reminds me so much of the Dungeon Master series. A lot of mechanics are the same, and only now i realize how much i missed them. Thank you so much for this game, if i could, i would play it through the night like in the old days. Unfortunately i do have a job nowadays :D Hope this will trigger much more of these games, because between all the new games with graphic extravaganza, this really what it should be all about; gameplay.
